Chikos Restaurant & Cafe

First of all I would like to thank my kind & generous collegue for paying for our meal tonight nga mihi toku tuakana. What a blessing he was to our TEAM.

Secondly, what a treat it was we started our entree with oysters hmmmm.shared that and the sushi dishes was divine then for my main I had the amazing melt in your mouth lightly smoked pork ribs OMG.the best in West Auckland cant beat it. And to top it off we had the yummy yo yo biscuits and tiramisu to die for really you so have to try. I am a foodie and I can be pretty critical about Restaurants this one was 10/10 it was the Bomb! You have to try their food.
Great customer service one of the waitress was very cute and cheeky she shared afew quick stories about wine to us. Loved love love the place highly recommended! I feel like this now

All the staffs are very friendly, foods served quick and all were amazing. I would definitely love to come back again for food. Kids friendly, kids menu and high chair are available. Their dessert all were another level. Double recommended!

Food is like art, presentation is amazing and the taste is even better. Beautiful meal! Service was a little slow, but we all know staffing is an issue in every industry right now. The staff were amazing even though they were maybe a little streched. My fav West Auckland restaurant and always our go to for our girly catch ups. Will definitely be back

Would have to be the best place in Henderson. The food is Sensational full of flavour, great portions.
You can’t go past the deserts. Team are really friendly and atmosphere is welcoming. Don’t be put off by the location, situated in a group of shops (takeaways). Worth the trip there.

Wifey and I visited this hidden gem on Sunday and were absolutely blown away with the quality of the food and great service. From the entree to the mains and desert was super tasty! We have driven passed this place so many times and couldn't believe that we have only now found this place at the end of the year. Will be back for sure!

Took the family with 2 young grandsons last night. Had a fantastic experience. Staff friendly and professional, food delicious with fresh ingredients (I had snapper…definitely fresh!), caters for children in separate section of restaurant thus allowing all diners to enjoy their experience. Looking forward to returning, the food that good.

Love the food and order the takeout most weeks during and since COVID. I always complimented on how much I appreciated and loved the food and yet they have since removed both my favourite items off the takeaway menu. Such a shame, it was my go to…

Took my mom here for her birthday. Food was delicious and service was stellar. Presentation was awesome! Forgot names of most of the dishes unfortunately but the sushi sisig was the start of show.

Been to Chikos many times over the years and quality has always been consistent. The food is amazing and you get to try a few different flavours in one dish. The owner and team are always so welcoming.

Beautifully presented food that tastes just as amazing as it looks on the plate. A must try when in auckland! Service and staff are just as great!

Just being here for dinner with a friend. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated. Comfortable sitting. Warm atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and the dessert was special. The place was crowded and I strongly recommend that you be early for easy parking and be assured of your table. Try it out. I think you will not be disappointed.

Great food and customer service. The atmosphere was great. Despite being busy, you were served in an orderly fashion. Highly recommended.

Been here many times with small groups (2-4) and highly rate, however tonight was hugely disappointed with customer service. For example - waiter advised could not order entree’s without full order of mains as we were were waiting on 2 more family members arriving when we had 12+ members. Drinks were very slow to arrive and mistakes made.l when they did. Asked for steak meal for one of our orders and rare ordered for that but advised that would be difficult better to order a medium rare (umm is the waiter the chef?) and on payment - yes a big group, several paid before bulk payment paid but asked is there much left the ‘same waiter’ had a very condescending reply by saying ‘oh yes there is a lot’ with a real attitude of sever profiling of our group. As a result, not sure I’ll be back despite the good food.

I haven’t visited this place in a couple of years but it was nothing like it used to be. The flavours were so bland and basic for the price.

Delicious food! Delicious dessert. A bit on the dear side but great for a treat and very generous portions! Ribs were so full of meat; flavours balanced perfectly. Sticky, sweet ribs, and balanced well with the accompaniments.

Recommendations; port with the chocolate bavarois dessert, a delicious tasting platter and chips which are nicely cooked with the right amount of sauce and Parmesan on top.

Have eaten here at least a dozen times over the years since opening. The menu and the food is stunning, the chef is “in love” with food and you can tell by what is offered as well as the execution. I do miss the steak which has been removed from the menu. I recommend the deconstructed sushi as a starter or to share it’s amazing if you love seafood! The desserts from the cabinet are also very good. Great service great food and happy every time. Thanks for bringing good food out west!
