Chikos Restaurant & Cafe reviews
68Absolutely the best I've experienced in Auckland. Food and staff top notch. Enjoyed it so much I forgot to take photos.
Food awesome as always. Highly recommend the ribs! The plum wine made by the owner is to due for.try a double as having a single will just leave you wanting more. Probably the best place ever to dine out West!
Came for a Christmas lunch and we absolutely loved Chikos. Such great service, amazing flavours and incredible presentation. Felt very well looked after. Thank you Chiko ️
Went for a birthday lunch. Really good food with great presentation. We had mains which were all below $30 (expect to pay in the $30s in town), and dessert (save room for dessert fantastic selection). Recommend.
A fantastic choice to have a nice dinner. Very friendly Service, the food varies from sea food to meat. Also deserts are great. You have also a good selection of wines. A clear recommendation.
Love this restaurant. Superb food, beautifully presented and really helpful staff. It's our' go to" place for that special evening.
First time here. Very quiet after the long weekend but can't believe more people aren't here. The meal was fantastic. Even my kale side dish was bursting with flavour. Hope West Auckland appreciates this high calibre restaurant on the doorstep. Great food, service and setting. We will be back.
Was absolutely blown away! It’s Father’s Day and we didn’t book a table. We started walking outside and saw that there were 2 empty tables so the waitress put them together for us. It was a beautiful day and sitting outside was ideal. We ordered and were told the kitchen is busy so it will be a bit of a wait.we were fine with that. All our waitresses were so friendly and kept checking on us. We ended up getting the dessert first as we were hungry- the mango pudding was out the gate! And the Apple crumble was nice too but not as nice. He Yakitori was Delish! Be wedges were nice too but I thought that it was kinda like skins but still wedges.anyway it was nice. The steamed pork buns were insanely good too! We had a great time and would happily visit again
We always keep coming back to Chikos and take pride in bringing visitors here for lunch or dinner and they never failed us to serve good food and best service-!
Excellent food incredibly tasty and the service absolutely fantastic. Group of 13 work dinner and every single person rated it 10/10. The fused blend and presentation of the food was fantastic. Incredibly delightful
Great cullinary experience. A very different restaurant. Unusual menu, outstanding desert display. Good service. We shall certainly become regulars.
Pulling in it feels a little “strip mall warehousey”, but after you experience the service, presentation and palatial-assault, I believe you’ll agree they deserve a spot on the wharf! We had the scallops followed by salmon. Let me share the prep copied from the menu: “Lemon grass, coriander, blackened eggplant, swedes pickles, dill agria potato, soy beans, red curry emulsion” - they achieve this without overwhelming the fish and while plucking every string in your mount. Beautiful. Enjoy the food, enjoy the service and let’s hear your review. Cheers mate!
We just love it.clean, great staff, food is amazing, the deserts are the best, the owner also serves etc.she is so lovely and that extra touch makes Chikos even more amazing
Once upon a time a wonderful Japanese lady met an amazing food artist from the Philippines. Time past and these two amazing creatives moved to New Zealand to open the most innovative fusion restaurant in West Auckland.
When eating at Chikos, your palette will travel across the most delicate yet intricate flavours and textures.
This is a place where East meets West and where food becomes art.
Unforgettably delicious!
Fantastic and scrumptious menu! Always fresh and new specials! And the dishes are always bursting with colours and flavours! Very instagrammable!
Amazing food, desserts, atmosphere, service. Will definitely come back! Will definitely recommend to anybody who is keen to try a lovely experience.
I've been here twice now. Amazing experience both times, it's a really nice environment and the desserts are amazing there's nowhere else. I've been that does it all so good. We'll be back for more with our friends
Amazing food. I had the Fresh fish of the day (snapper) and the best Agria chips like the best roast potatoes ever.service 5 star.also made up special drinks for children that where not on menu.very accommodating.highly recommend.yummmmm
Food was creative and tasted good. Services were good, especially from the Japanese lady who explained the cuisines to us. It was expensive. An entree was on average $20+ and main around $30 to $40. The setting was lovely but wasn't worth the price to me and my friends. This might be because we didn't have a reservation and was seated outside.
Wonderful atmosphere friendly staff Delicious meals with magnificent presentation. We were a party of 8 & each meal was full to the brim with flavour & all were happily devoured. My new favourite restaurant in Auckland
