Coco's Cantina reviews
77Great atmosphere and service. The food is a great fusion of Spanish and Italian. Make sure you book to get a table. The cocktails are good too!
Went with a group and booked their private room upstairs ($120 to book) which was awesome as we could listen to our own music and it was nice and quiet to hear each other talk.
On the set menu ($75pp) which was delicious. The biggest letdown was the truffled potato ravioli. It was advertised as a main but we were only given one piece of ravioli each - which is a shame because it was bloody delicious, we all wanted more! We were told it was something small between courses- that would be good to be made clear with the advertised menu. Despite that we left full and even had food left over.
All in all I would return because the food was great and the staff were friendly and attentive.
I have been coming here for just about 10 years and I should have posted this earlier. I am Italian but just the family name does not make you a great cook. Here the food is simple but so outrageously tasty. The service is bohemianly effective, Coco's feels like driving a Morris with a Ferrari engine.you get a lot more than you pay for. I am looking forward to my next 10 years to come hoping that Coco's remains the same.perfectly imperfect.

Great casual dining experience, superb (and fun) service and scrumptious food. Love that most dietary requirements are catered for and not a blink of judgement.
Really, really nice meal had by all on our table of four. The pizzas are excellent. They have vegan options, and are accommodating to changes so I’m sure some non vegan options could be made vegan if wanted.
The only thing that slightly let the evening down was the service, the table next to us had a different waitress and seemed to be much better, for example one person on our table didn’t get their meal at the same time as the rest of us, and actually ended up having to ask where it was, it was then quite a while before our table was cleared and then we waited a while to be asked if we wanted desert, until we ended up asking another waitress for a desert menu as it seemed like we had been forgotten, the table next to us, who arrived after us had eaten their mains, been offered, had ordered and were eating their desert and we were still waiting for the offer of a desert menu. Maybe our waitress was having a bad day, other than that it was great and would’ve been a 5 star review.
Very friendly staff. Went out of their way to accommodate special request (a warm, Sugar free Coke - don't ask). Great atmosphere, cozy. Will come again for sure.
Absolutely stunning margherita pizza, polenta fries were fire. Quick service and mint atmosphere, also whoever’s playlist is going, you’re a musical genius. Much love xoxox
Best happy hour in town - pasta and drinks both! Love coming here in the evenings for a bite and bringing out of towners. Atmosphere is vibrant and staff is always a hoot.
Always a great experience. Unflappable, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Accommodated our large group with aplomb and were savvy to different needs of the group.
My group tried our luck on a busy Friday. Had no booking but thankfully another group had just canceled so we were able to be seated. Lovely staff, good food.
Best dining out experience in a long time. Food was 10/10 and every staff member was fantastic- helpful, efficient, friendly and fun. Wish I lived here so I could return regularly!
The meatball pasta is bomb! And great atmosphere also, very suitable for a romantic date or a wholesome meal with friends! One of the best Italian restaurant in Auckland! Highly recommend!
Good eatery. Very nice honest good (spaghetti meatballs was delicious), good wine selection, and nice atmosphere. The St Nick Cave stained glass image was great!
Awesome atmosphere especially for a Wednesday night. Pasta was good but the 4 cheese pizza was CRAAAAAZY
Such a warm and welcoming dinner spot! Food was piping hot, beer was cold and such a lovely LGBTQIA+ friendly venue ️️
Very disappointed with our meal. We booked this place as it was listed in Metros top 50 Auckland restaurants. Food was extremely greasy and very poorly presented. Without doubt the worst experience from the metro list.
Experienced this for the first time as I was waiting for another restaurant and decided to pop in for a drink. Ended up dining in and I'm glad we did. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly.
The food and staff here are awesome the private seating area upstairs makes you feel like your eating a family dinner at home.
Awesome menu that’s highly curated and covers all the bases. Great service too and very unique establishment.
Love the decor and cocktails here. Staff are always friendly. Recommend making a booking to get a table. Love the arancini and the ravioli
