We use Compass fibre broadband for work as relatively heavy users of internet, and its been so good! Extra reliable since switching to Compass’ excellent modem/router. The support to set it up was good too - I like that the call centre is just based in Auckland. When this second lockdown happened, they were super prompt at actioning our phone call forwarding request - Thanks Jonalee and the business support team!

Speedster account takeover absolute shambles. No internet or phone for 20 hours and Compass tech support 's (lol) excuse is that they had no monitoring capability due to "migration issues". They said they had sent an email to Speedster (speedster don't exist any more) so still no internet.

Speedster and compass - I wouldn’t recommend. Very poor customer service, people tell you they’ll call back but they don’t. You are continuously chasing them for weeks. They give you a run-a-round. And I agree with the other one stars on here - all we have heard are lies.
The internet was the slowest provided we have ever had, it took 1.5minutes to Load a webpage.

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, it’s very poor quality.

NOT WORTH the headache that comes with this internet provider.

Came home to find no wifi.first problem I've had in years.speedster at least you answered your phones.wat is going on Compass.not happy.teething problems and no communication.rung the 09 number left messages.not happy!

Good luck getting in touch with a service support analyst. The support center only take calls between 9am and 5: 30pm. When the lines open at 9am there is a huge queue, I suspect their average call times are in the 'hours'. The irony is they have the word 'Communications' in their registered company name. This is an extremely poor product offering.

You get what you pay for, cheap internet and nothing but a headache of a service. Always cutting out (my last provider on same plan never cut out and could get all around my house) speeds were slow hardly worth downloading (even with a wifi extender purchased at my cost) would not recommend.more trouble than they are worth. Stay far away!

I dont recommend I've just shut down my account due to moving houses I could not move the internet with me as I was moving into a house with internet already so no need for wifi anymore and because of this I want to shut down my account but they tell me I have to give another 30 days notice (which I did the first one back in january) and they are still taking money from my account with wifi that's not even getting used also my contract with them has been over 2years and now because I want to shut my account down they are saying I have to pay $199 disconnection fee even tho my contract is over the 24 month threshold also is your fellas customer service people on drugs because I couldn't understand a word he was saying to me and when I asked to speak to someone else the person hung up on me I wasnt trying to be rude and I understand that use have rules to abide but this is complete bull.on the other hand wifi was great whilst I was using it no muck ups or lagging

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -

I had signed up for wifi through them which took around 2 weeks to receive the modem, they had told me the wifi was connected and that it was all a go - BIG LIE our house was not on the grid for any internet and is still not on the grid we are having to get OFF installation to ensure our house goes onto the grid to receive wifi - they had connected the house in front of us and charged us for it. We never recieved any wifi service from them and they continually emailed me for a payment to be made when no service was given. I cancelled my services and they said that "I would not have to pay them for the services I DID NOT RECIEVE IF I would return their modem", so what did I DO? I returned their modem which apparently they have not recieved and I now have a debt collection agency trying to make me pay $275 in full to avoid a payment default on a service I DID NOT RECIEVE I have multiple emails of compass apologising to me and agreeing they provided no service and that the only charge I would endure was the charge of the modem if I did not send it back. BIG FAT LIE because I have done everything they have said and NOW it's been taken over by a debt collection agency. MORE TO NOTE MY DAUGHTER IS CURRENTLY SICK WITH A RARE DISEASE THAT REWUIRED CHEMO AND A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT TO PUT HER INTO REMISSION AND THESE NASTY B*ST*EDS are adding more stress to the fire by acting as if I owe them money for a SERVICE not provided which I have proof of and are now trying to charge me the full amount of this DEBT because APPARENTLY they haven't recieved the modem - I have been asked to provide a receipt which I can not do given the circumstances I am currently in with my child to prove I sent the modem back. WHEN I HAVE NO PROOF FROM THEM THAT THEY HAVEN'T RECIEVED IT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY DESERVE NO STARS

Big misunderstanding at the beginning the workers kept getting the prepaid and the pay monthly deals confused.after all that I am happy net is fast. I reccomend when u call you ask for Eileen very helpful women:)

We have joined compass internet service about a month ago and speed of internet is very very good. The customer service is fast, responsive and reliable. Highly recommended internet service.

We've been with Compass for the past 6 months, and it's been amazing. Router is very reliable. Most especially, the support is awesome. The people who supports us is very friendly, helpful, and resolves our issues in a snap. Thanks Compass for the great experience. All the best!

It took over two years for them to update my personal details.
During this process, they repeatedly lied to me.
The first guy I spoke to said that he would get it all done, no worries, easy as.
One email last week said something like "Just give us a call to confirm, and then it's all done", so I called them, and the guy was like "No, no, you need to email your documentation, then call us".
They also, repeatedly, failed to respond to emails, even when it was an email they asked me to send.
In dealing with Compass, I had to extend my break times waiting for them to answer the phone, and this went on the timesheet, so I got paid slightly less; this means that Compass, and their incompetence, actually cost me money.
Because of this, I told them I want reimbursement. The most recent call centre person I spoke with agreed that I will not pay the December invoice until they've confirmed reimbursement, and she also promised that I will not be charged any late fees, or interest, or anything like that.

This morning, they sent me an email saying that they will suspend the internet connection unless I pay by -get this! - yesterday.

I've been a good customer. I've paid every bill, in full, for two years. But I've had enough of this.

Useless.

If I could I'd be putting a negative stars on here. First off they over charged my father after the agreement was put in place, father has now passed away they sent the bill to his email and have suspended the net, which would be paid, but when asked to cut it off they wouldn't unless I can provide a death certificate which will be done but while we wait for that to come through we are getting more charges laid on top, was also made out to be a liar in the fact I'm lying about my father passing away, who lies about that I hope people aren't stupid enough to sign up with you guys

I have been "next in cue" for the past hour and 33 mins? This isnt the first time! I have been with compass for the past 2 years or so, and nothing has changed! Why isnt there a NO star rating because a 1 star is overated for this stupid company! This is the WORST customer service I have EVER recieved and calling now for a disconnection! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH COMPASS! All they do is eat your bank and time!

Literally the worst company I've ever dealt with. Absolutely no concept of customer service, can't keep their own promises and take zero responsibility for their own screw ups. Just don't do it.

Pretty terrible customer service. Especially trying to get a hold of someone to answer simple questions. Of all the times I have called their customer sevice times, wait times are anything between 40 - 1.5hours.
