Went there 3 times to get a wof first time gave me a short list missed the recheck by 3 days then went thru another wof and failed me on new things fixed it up and then took it back for re check but the guy has given me a whole new list of things modifications that aren’t even there. Last time he told me to put flares on and Sand it took it back and he said to remove the whole thing. It’s just the one guy that keeps on targeting me everytime because I’m young and is always so rude to me when I ask questions. He speaks to me like I’m an idiot but in reality he’s just trying to make people fork out money for things that don’t need to be fixed. I’ve taken most of my other cars there but when it comes to my 4x4 he is so arrogant and has a huge ego and makes me wait like 2 hours for a recheck. This guy needs to go asap. Will be contacting NZTA for a complaint and contacting fair go for this whole issue

Used to go here every year. Not anymore. I don't recommend this place. Took mine and hubby's car in. Failed both cars- load index werent matching in the tyres. Other car - Steering shudder.
Took to mechanic they couldn't understand why steering shudder failed a wof so they wrote a comment for it as it was fine & safe. Took other car for tyres to be sorted they checked them and couldn't understand there comment for load index not matching as it was matching.
Additional notes saying damage on the headrest which ended up being the seat covers and other silly comments. The recheck was a joke they didn't even check what they failed it for & they passed it within few mins. The service was rude with one guy and felt targeted as we have a Subaru. What a joke and a stuff around.

I've been trying to book a dereg car in for compliance for well over 3 months. Each time I try I get a text saying "text me back in 4 weeks". No worries, things are busy. My final attempt I was just told "they're too busy, sorry". Whats the point of offering this service if it's literally impossible to even make a booking? I'm not in a hurry, just keen to get the process underway, but I don't even have that option. Infuriating.

Always very clear and helpful here. They go above and beyond and will check things out at no extra cost if they're already doing a WOF and they tell you if there's something you might want to get looked at even if it doesn't effect your WOF.been going here for years, awesome team

Lovely experience getting my WOF today. I had a break light out and the man that did the WOF put a new brake light in for me and passed me. Wonderful customer service, I really appreciate it. Thank you:)

Don't go here! They will find a reason to fail you just so you have to go back. Got it checked out by another place and they failed break pads that were fine. Photos of the pads were taken for evidence but this place is a rip off and the customer service is terrible. Overpriced rude and dodgy.

I love this place, friendly, generally quick to get through. Testers offer handy advice on what to keep an eye on / have attended to before next WOF.

It was expensive, $75 for a wof, staff were nice and friendly but it took 45min to get to the front of the queue, so very slow going.

First time getting a WOF at this place and will be going elsewhere next time. Without going into specifics, staff should put focus more on providing good customer service. It was also apparent that new import cars going through compliance checks from next door were getting preference over normal customers, not doing any favours for waiting times.

I have been getting all of my cars and work vans warranted here for 18 years, love the old guys that worked here. Today a new guy said that he would fail my car for a small stone chip that has been, unchanged, on my lower windscreen for the last 11 years and 10 WOFs - all done here. Car only just recently went for a WOF somewhere else, 6 weeks ago, and it wasn't an issue with them (failed due to an oil leak so I needed a new WOF check after fixing it up outside of the recheck timeframe and I thought that I would come back to my regular place). Office staff were nice so 2 stars.
* vehicle passed WOF at another testing station no problem.

Omg what a great place the staff are nice and friendly. You can sit inside or outside waiting for Yr car. Loos available, and what made me even happier I got my warrant, easy peasy and I can say I'm going back in a yrs time to get my next warrant. Everything was straight forward

Excellent Service. Failed COF but for good reason (hidden rust in chassis) Inspectors were very polite and explained issue fully.

A great team here - very fair & informative and helpful if your car fails its WOF. Definitely a better experience in comparison to VTNZ.

Went to these guys for a WOF and I couldn't be happier with the service. From the front desk to the technician doing the inspection, the service was faultless. I initially failed due to a headrest in the rear seat that wouldn't extend as we never used, but also never picked up before so kudos for the thorough inspection. As the tech explained, it may not be used by us, but could be needed by the next owner who may buy the car after me. Anyway, I was able to get it loose and the tech happily checked again and, as per his words, "You're legal now" - sweet!
Found my go-to place for a WOF out West, and I'll recommend these guys to friends and family.and you, curious online shopper ;-)

Do not use Drivesure. Go to a mechanic instead. Have been a customer for years but I'm done with them now. They failed my car on its recent WOF with rust on the fuel line as the reason, the employee checking told me to use a wire brush and spray rust converter and bring it back. Easy enough for someone not equipped with a workshop/garage I thought. So I spent a few hours crawling under the car sanding the rust and applied a good coat of rust converter after. Took it in again and it was failed AGAIN by a different employee who told me that the fuel line needs to be "taken out", so in other words a job for a mechanic and also said that "a few scratches isn't enough". Which one is it? Why does Drivesure have two standards? If I knew from the first time it needed a mechanic I would have not minded. Instead I have wasted my time and money because two employees have two different standards. Terrible customer service.
