This would make a good story for 'FAIR GO"
We are in our  60's and have always bought Fisher & Paykel appliances. In 2012 - we bought a Top of the Line Dishwasher. Within a year the hinges failed and needed to be replaced. This was done under warranty at no cost, however my husband took time off work to arrange that. In December 2019 we  had leaking seals. So my husband took time off to have that repaired. In May this year the pump failed, so my husband took time off work to take that for repair, and the cost to fix it was too high, so we decided to buy a new one. However there was a service charge of $95.00
At this point we were not impressed that we had only had 8 years of use with a family of 2! But brand loyalty convinced us to buy F & P again!
We ordered a new one and my husband took time off work to receive it.  On the day of the delivery, the driver stopped up the road past our property and called my husband to say he could not get into our driveway, He  had the dishwasher on the side of the road, on his trolley some distance up the road.  My husband asked that he at least bring it to the drive, so he loaded it back into the truck and did a "rapid" u turn to come back to our drive. When they opened the back of the truck the dishwasher was upside down.  My husband suggested it was not good for it, but the driver insisted it would be fine, due to the packaging.  In good faith we installed it. Later when looking closely at it, we saw it was damaged down low. We contacted F & P to request it be taken back, but were told they would send out a technician to assess it. So my husband took more time off work. The technician agreed it had been "jacked" and needed replacing. Today, my husband took more time off work to receive the replacement and guess what! It was quite badly damaged when they took off the packaging. And so my husband has installed the old one again and will take more time off work to receive the next one.
This would be a funny story if it weren't so serious. As we await the next delivery, I cannot help but wonder if this would make a good "Fair Go" story. Perhaps more time off work would be better spent talking to them.ps - we also replaced our F & P Washing Machine last month. We had that for almost 13 years, and the driver came down the drive in a very big truck, was extremely polite and friendly, and turned his truck in our drive and left without incident. For that they get 1 star.

Should be named Fisher and Useless! Called about a simple issue with my fridge, calls got bounced around, on hold for half hour, finally spoke to an obnoxious woman at Auckland branch, who put us on hold again then hung up! Don't think we will buy another Fisher and Paykel fridge in future if they treat us like that!

It's Friday. Our fridge has stopped working. The earliest an F&P technician can attend is next Wednesday. What a joke. So tried to speak to someone senior. Forget it. Too worried about their bottom line to speak to customers. Why would I EVER buy another F&P appliance?

Ordered some replacement dryer parts online where one part was incorrectly supplied. First, they tried to get me to pay for the return freight. Second, they had it picked up, but now a month later and numerous emails my card still hasn't been credited (although a $1 debit hold appeared, but no actual credit). Third, as I write this I'm sitting on hold waiting for a human to speak to to actually credit the part I paid for - $25 but it's more out of principal than anything else. Right now its looking like a Bank CC charge back and all the associated hassle. If your time is worth anything, and dealing with multiple levels of incompetence is not for you - shop elsewhere.

We had our F&P washing machine fixed by these people, we knew the issue was a leaking drain hose and mentioned in the notes when booking the repair that is was the drain hose.so the ''Tech'' turns up and doesn't even have a replacement hose and tells us that he can put Silicon on the hose followed by tape round it (as pictured) this repair wont last very long. They wanted $140 for this we could have done it ourselves! So when we said we actually want the hose replaced he was looking a a diagram on his laptop on how it's done so he actually didn't know and tried to tell us it's a big job and the machine would have to be pulled to bits and it would take 2 people. Anyway he said it would be $330 to replace the hose! I will never repair my F&P appliances though them again.

Don't buy their rangehoods. Bought a house in October last year that came with a brand new rangehood. It's the beginning of a nightmare; rangehood didn't have any suction and later it was replaced with a brand new rangehood but months later it completely stopped working. The technician came and concluded that it needs to replace a motor. But due to cyber attack and covid 19 they couldn't figure out when the parts will arrive.
My household hasn't had a working rangehood for a month and they don't seem to care or try to seek out any solutions. Very poor after sale services.

NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!
This has been the WORST customer service experience I've ever had!
Over a month ago I purchased a set of Fisher Paykel appliances from AJ Madison. The refrigerator does not work and I have made numerous attempts to contact both AJ Madison and Fisher Paykel for help. Neither has made any significant attempts to resolve the issue and I am still without a working refrigerator over a month later. Can you imagine?
I am a home designer/remodeler and purchase a lot of appliances for properties. This is my personal home so I decided to be the ginny pig, and try this company and this product for the first time at my home.
AJ Madison and Fisher Paykel are the worst.

Worst experience trying to order a fridge door shelf. I was sent two as seperate orders and charged twice. Support was not helpful when I emailed asking about this. Please can you sort out your online ordering system so this doesn't happen to others

Don’t buy fisher and paykel washing machines. The machine is 5 years old and two ‘wings’ have snapped off the agitator. The customer service gentleman on the phone confessed it happens often and all I had to do is buy a new agitator online. I think NOT.
I will never buy from this company again
Don’t even bother trying to complain over the phone, they dont answer your call

Hi I purchased a washing machine in April 2019. The washing machine had been faulty from the get-go. It was couriered to my address. There was no technician or any assistance with the set up.
Anyhow, fast forward to the 11th of December I had a technician come and take a look. He said he needed a part and that he will come back when he receives it. On the 12th of December I received a txt message to advise of the part received and that I will have to call to make an appointment or click on the link provided. I clicked the clicked the link and booked an appointment for the following day from 7am-12pm as there was availability. I received a confirmation. No one turned up. I called and was on hold for one hour and thirty six minutes before my phone died. Later on that day I received a message that an appointment was booked for me on the 17th of December in the morning. A different technician came, checked the problem and said he doesn’t have the part for it he will have to pre order. I advised that that is what happened the previous visit and he should have it with him now, how can these visits not be recorded on to the system and what the bloody hell is the protocol! He advised that I should not have booked online and should have called to book with the previous technician. YOU GUYS SHOULD BE SORTING THIS OUT NOT ME IM NOT YOUR LIASING MANAGER AND I GOT A TXT MESSAGE ASKING TO EITHER CALL OR CLICK ON THE LINK TO BOOK!
No one came after that.
8/1/2020 - called in to book an appointment and the customer service woman advised that there are two accounts, that it was confusing therefore no action was to be followed up. THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM! Now THE PART IS PRE ORDERED AGAIN and appointment is booked for Monday week.

Absolute disgrace of an outfit. They will make you wait hours and hours on hold (usually around 3 hours) and you will have to explain the story again, again & again. Senior staff will promise resolutions, but they are only interested in covering up their own mistakes and getting you off of the phone. I will never buy a F&P appliance again.

Fantastic appliances and customer service. My washing machine has been running for 15 years and never skipped a beat. My Fridge 10years plus. Compared to my Smeg dishwasher which fails to wash dishes properly and needed multiple repairs and less than two years old

Its shame that F&P not able to resolve issue from last 2 months. Every time I gave a call, you are trying order parts. I believe by now you can order and import parts from anywhere in the world

After 1 hour and 20 minutes of being on hold to ask some questions about their products I gave up. Too difficult to contact. I will choose another brand to buy where it is easier to get help. I had been warned by shop assistants they were not the company they once were and to consider other brands. How right they were.

Called customer support then “ contact us” which stated the fastest way was to click on a live chat icon at the bottom right of the screen. No icon however was there no matter how many times we tried to.

Spare parts department service is very very slow. Have rang 4 times already and on hold for more than 20mins each and everytime someone answers the line cust off.

Very disappointed in quality of washing machine and dryer. Both required repairs twice within 1.5 years. Customer service is awful to deal with.
