54 Absolutely awful customer service & follow up
Purchased a couch well over a month ago, agreed on a set delivery date.
Gets notified that there was an error with the delivery tracking system and that we'll get a call back for new delivery date.
No call back.
Repeat 3 times.
Got phone call that it will be delivered today between 3pm~5pm.
Take leave off work to be at home between that time.
Delivery doesnt come, and I wasted half day leave for this.
Absolutely fuming.
Linda, the 'Ops manager', gave us her card and promised that she will do her best to get this resolved. It wasnt, and when we came back to ask for her, she completely ignored us (she even came out to see another customer, and when I called her name, she just completely ignored us and just walked back into her office)
Never using freedom ever again.
Very poor customer service.
I called about the availability of a sofa and wanted to know if it was on display. I was told it was available and on display, so I made my way to the shop.
Despite the item being on stock, delivery would take up to 4 weeks and I would not be allowed to pick it up from the warehouse to speed things up.
The armchair was not on stock anymore and I would need to get the one on display, which had a couple of marks. Despite that I would need to pay the full price (we are talking four digits).
In the context of all these inconveniences I did not even get a discount on delivery.
I only received an apology from the poor sales-person, who admitted that service in this shop was horrible and that they already lost a lot of customers because of this.
She even called her manager and asked if she wanted to do anything, but the manager did not even offer to speak to me but just refused everything.
Left with a very bad feeling.
This used to be a good store for customer service. It is now not far from the worst.i bought two black chairs in it. Then I was was told that non of the Freedom stores have stock and they would be ordered from Australia. Then I was told pay first. I paid and was told there would be a two week delivery. I got a call to say the two chairs arrived. I went down to the store to pick up.luckily I asked the storeman to open the boxes. One was the wrong colour. I got a phone call from the Manager to say the replacement chair was in NZ but it would take two weeks to get to the store. Forget this store.
This is a large scale furniture store. Linda helps us block out the room arrangement and recommend several pieces of furniture in an economical way. With the help of Linda, we have a really good experience here
Good selection of styled furnitures and price. Quality will only known with time but looks good.
Reasonable range of stock and in styles that appeal to me. However undergoing building renovation atm.
You're free to browse as much as you want but staff are always there to help the second you have any questions
Service is exceptional! Patsy is a star and goes above and beyond to make sure we find a perfect product for our needs every single time we come to the store.
This a a good sized store and all the furniture is nicely styled so this is a great place to go when you are looking for ideas. I wouldn’t recommend buying their leather sofa’s because they don’t use the best quality leather which means that they bubble and peel after a few years and they aren’t that cheap.
Freedom Furniture in Newmarket are so lucky to have Ken working there.
He is very friendly and knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble and he makes every visit a pleasure.
I have shopped at the Newmarket store for some years now and always try to get Ken because he has such a great “can do “ attitude.
It’s a real pity that some of the staff in the large furniture department don’t have his approach to customer service.

Good value furniture. But still over priced when you compare to furniture in Europe, Africa, or Asia.
2 unpleasent experiences with these guys. Bought my new couch from them and one of it's button popped out on very first use, they sent someone to fix it after few days but the guy who fixed it said we can't gurantee if other buttons pop out too. Wow, what a confidence guys.
Then giving them a second chance I bought a study table and a chair from them and the table plywood wad brokem from the sides. I called them and they asked me to drop it to them and get a new one, and I refused. Why should I have go through this because of their mistake and they asked me to call customer care and arrange it with them, now I have to go through the hassle of getting this issue fixed. Not good guys.
The staff are super friendly and helpful, the products seem to be really good and the showroom has some really nice displays for inspiration. Special thanks to Patricia for her great customer service!
