Grace Removals Auckland

We asked Grace Removals to take care of our move from The Gardens to Clarks Beach. They were very professional, super organised and made such a stressful time so much easier. They cost a little more than some places, however, I chose them as we had used them before and they offer more extra's, like covering all furniture, doing a zoom pre-inspection report and inventory during lockdown etc. They were super efficient and professional throughout. Would definitely recommend them and I think the price is well worth it.

Moving towns is never easy but Grace Removals did a great job. Turned up on time packed our belongings carefully and delivered them on time the next day.

Lovely people to deal with, James was awesome. Had our things travel from Auckland - Dunedin and everything arrived in one piece!

Most of the people we communicated with were responsive and lovely what was very disappointing is that they took no accountability for the lost/stolen item. It was our baby's cot mattress, so harder to go missing compared to smaller items. Some larger furniture was damaged. Advice to future self and others check that they document every single dear item on their inventory before you sign.

They had great communication from the Sales process through to the actual day of the move. Good value for money and I dealt with good people both the drivers and the Admin teams. Cheers

Our experience with Grace Removals was really good; the person I was dealing with was awesome. The Auckland team who packed the furniture was good and the Christchurch team who delivered the furniture was absolutely brilliant

There are only a couple of things I would address: 1. There was one team member in Auckland - unfortunately, I overheard them talking to their team mate saying, "this is not our job" and I am not sure what they meant by that - I had asked a couple of times if there was anything Grace Removals wanted me to do before they came to pack and I was advised I didn't need to do anything so I left everything as is. Had I known, there were some things I needed to prepare beforehand I would have done it. 2. The labels on the boxes were not correct - it is not a big deal at all but it just becomes easier if the boxes are labelled correctly.

I would certainly use Grace Removals again and would recommend to family and friends too.

Exceptional service from initial contact, walk through video, removal day itself and unloading. Great phone and email communication. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Scheduling, pickup and delivery was done in great time frames. All items were cared for so well, everything arrived unharmed.

Very pleased with the whole move. Great team on the packing. EVERYTHING arrived in perfect condition. Exactly when it all should, too. Super communication through the whole process too. Thank you to all involved. It really did remove a lot of stress for us.

We moved a vehicle and household effects from Sydney to NZ. Service, communication and support from Sydney team was awesome. Service from the NZ staff was absolutely abysmal! Unresponsive, took 2 days to get a response which was simply, ‘contact the account manager in Australia’. Queries regarding my vehicle and documentation requested to be complete was not explained, no contact details provided on emails which are all from generic email addresses. Would absolutely never use Grace in NZ ever again and would not recommend anyone else part with their hard earned money to this shambolic outfit!

We had a lot of hick-ups to start with (not firmly booked in even though we had written confirmation, missing add-ons, wrong timings), but everyone made sure the problems were solved and we were happy. They even send our belonging down via truck instead of the booked ship to make sure everything was there on time. We packed ourselves, and the pick-up crews, both in Auckland and Christchurch, were amazing. Nothing got damaged and they were super friendly and accommodating. An overall great experience - we would use Grace again!

Do not use this company! We relocated back to Auckland NZ from Darwin NT Australia on Feb 10 2020 and we finally received our container on May 15 2020 due to Covid 19 delays which was fine. We paid for a full service door to door, unpacking of boxes and assembly of furniture. On the day of delivery the 2 removalists arrive and tell us they can’t unpack boxes or Assemble furniture during level 2 (removalists were very friendly and polite) The lack of customer service and professionalism in admin/management is beyond a joke, we are constantly emailing for updates. Almost 6 weeks later we have had to purchase a 2nd fridge because our double door is still downstairs, the agreed refund has not been returned & our garage is full with Grace boxes. Total disappointment and the unnecessary stress they have caused is unacceptable. I hope this review prompts changes. By no means is Aucklands poor performance a reflection of Grace Removals Australia as they were professional & very prompt at all times.

A negative experience getting a simple quote from them. Told they would get back to me that afternoon. A week later - nothing. Someone by the name of Carolyn employed there going on about how busy they are? Really? So a potential customer should go elsewhere?

They could not find my request for a quote in the system, I could not use their app to get an approx quote. No, follow up when leaving a message with the 0800 line. Unorganised. I got other quotes quite easily within a week from their competitors.

We recently moved from Papakura to Tauranga (after a false start with Covid-19 interrupted our plans) with Grace Removals. We found their charges very competitive and procedures suited us very well. Our dealings with their sales agent and workmen was first class and we are very satisfied. We would certainly recommend Grace Removals to anyone contemplating a move.

Grace Removals provided an outstanding service at a competitive price. The whole process was hassle free and every staff member we had contact was friendly, helpful and courteous. I'm very happy that I chose Grace Removals and highly recommend them.

Good customer service. Friendly lads arrived on time. Small scratches on some wood but overall an effective service and good value.

After having a property visit from removal consultant, we were astonished at the quote's high price, and being inaccurate according to what we had specified very clearly. Quote had 'TBA" on items indicating there were more costs to follow. Not impressed. As we didn't use them for our removal, have given 2 stars.

We relocated from Auckland to Christchurch over the Christmas period and Grace are among the most expensive movers but we chose them over many other companies due to the various promises they made to us under the slogan “always more”. The teams that uploaded and offloaded our home contents were really good but every other aspect was very poor and caused us a great deal of stress during an already stressful time. We were called by the general manager who admitted it was their fault and although we have been compensated for the extra time in holiday accomodation, we have had no further contact from any member of the company to offer us compensation for the many other costs we incurred on top of the already expensive fee for moving. My wife and I wrote a long email detailing all of the problems but after a few weeks we still have had no response and that is extremely disappointing. We would definitely not recommend moving with Grace.

Grace removals did a stellar job with prepping, loading and transporting our furniture and boxed items. Their service was professional and friendly, and they visited us weeks prior to the move to understand what our requirements were and to assess the quantity of things that needed to be moved. They delivered the packing materials in advance to allow us time to pack. They worked with our schedule and were very flexible in accommodating our needs. I would certainly recommend Grace removals, and will use them again in future.
