Great local pub with regular specials and an intelligent beer and cocktail menu. Love the food! The old guy with the tattoos is really friendly too!

After about 7 minutes of us ordering our food and taking two sips of my beer my partner and I got a call from our childcare centre advising we needed to attend immediately. The team had already started cooking our food but it wasn’t yet cooked enough for us to take away so the staff insisted we only pair for our drinks.

This is a great pub and I’ve always enjoyed spending time here drinking, eating and watching sport which always has a great vibe. If you are looking for someone to catch up with friends then please check out this place.

We will be back to enjoy your great food and hospitality in the near future and this will now always be my default cheeky pint hotspot.

When my 18months old son turns 18 I can share a pint or two here with him and tell him this story.

Great pub! Outdoor tables, vibrant atmosphere, great pints and lively locals. It gets really crowded on quiz nights.

Today I booked an appointment with one of our clients to meet at Lord Kitchener at 10.30am without realizing that the restaurant opens at 12pm. We were standing wondering what to do as there were not many cafes around. Suddenly, one of the staff members, Stephanie came to us and explained that the restaurant opens late, but she said if it's just drinks in a takeaway cup paid with EFTPOS, she can serve, and she took our order and helped us. I really would like to thank Stephanie and the management for training the staff to take care of the customers well. I will definitely bring my clients here in the future to show our support. Thank you, Lord Kitchener team.

Have been here for a couple of after work events. The pizzas are delicious. Recommend the Pepperoni. Also have $1 wings on Fridays? Also super tasty. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

The best steak and cheese pie. Full of meat and nice gravy for the spud. Good friendly staff.

Won’t come back! No vegetarian roast option and they offer the option to remove the meat and then have the cheek to try charge the same price for less

Love this place. The service and the staff are second to none. I'm a celiac and they made all the accomodations for the food I could have. Always a treat going there and has definitely become a favourite bar/gastro pub of mine.

Amazing service, excellent selection of tap beer and the chef is obviously passionate about flavour!

We got a jug of beer to share and halfway through the first pint we realised it was definitely flat. We soldiered on regardless, finished the jug and when the waitress came to clear I said, "that jug was a little bit flat". "OK I'll tell the barman, " she said.

Husband goes back to the bar and orders a second jug of the same beer, even though the first was a dud. Mentions nothing about the first jug whatsoever. Barman says to him something along the lines of, "you know the longer you take to drink beer, the flatter it gets. " It took us about 45 mins to drink the jug between 2 of us.

1. We were served a flat jug of beer. We finished it without complaint.
2. We discreetly mentioned to the very nice waitress that it was flat and didn't make a song or dance of it.
3. Even after the dud jug, we decided to spend more money and ordered again.
4. Nothing further was said by us about the dud beer - no request for a refund or even to check the beer was ok before ordering again.
5. The blame was put on us that we left the beer too long and let it go flat, when we had been there less than an hour.
6. The barman could have just shut his mouth and let it slide, given that we had done him a solid by discreetly telling them to check the taps by quietly saying the beer was flat. Instead he had to chrip up and say something that pretty much put a dampner on things and really put us off ordering anything else.

Word to the wise: treating your customers who have what I would've thought is pretty common/straightforward feedback with sarcasm is pretty petty and pathetic. I hate to think how customers with actual real genuine complaints (main meal mixups, missed bookings) are dealt with. Learn to be resilient and maybe not blame the customer (what is that saying about the customer being right?)

Despite that, I would like to say congratulations - you may be the first person in history to accuse an Irishman of drinking too slowly.

Always great food and great service. Wednesday night is $25 Steak night. Highly recommended the Club Sandwich - its huge!

The female manager is extremely rude and was blatantly intoxicated, other staff were very nice but my partner and I will not be visiting again.

Amazing roast here on a Sunday. Pork belly with carrots, peas, pumpkin, cauliflower, potato's and of course a Yorkshire pudding! The gravy was tasty and covered the whole meal! Best roast I've had so far in Auckland!

Booked ahead and we got allocated booth and table next door and the kids hung out at the couches when not eating

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was such a fantastic service, Jason you’re an absolute legend and a such a great host, my friend and I were so impressed by your knowledge of the food and drinks, your awesome banter, you make me want to move to the area so you’d be my local! Thanks so very much for a great lunch and drinks recommendations!

Used to live right by here and would go every week. Even a couple years later my old flatmates and I love to have a catch up at Lord K, still an awesome place

We were highly impressed with both the service and the food, we will definitely be going back. An added bonus was the easy parking at the back of the restaurant. Many thanks for an enjoyable evening.

Sunday night steak and fish and chips. Great service and generous food portions. Nice wine list. Lucky to have such a great establishment in our neighborhood.

Hello guys, on an occasion me, my of couple of other friends visited for the dinner. Ambience, restaurant, sitting arrangement was really very nice but when we reached to the restaurant nobody come to us for greetings, nobody offered us for the table. When we approached to the table the waitress came and said "this table is booked you can sit on another table". We went to another table after that we kept on waiting for 15-20 minutes for the menu's that she will give to us. Then one of my friend asked for the menu's to the waitress and she was again "oh you need menu's". For the ordering again we keep on waiting that she will come and take order but she never show up again we asked her that we are ready with our order for drinks and food and we requested that whatever is ready she can serve us we won't mind as we were very hungry. The manager serves the drinks and after that we finished the 2 rounds of drinks the meal wasn't ready after waiting one hour there. Again, when we asked the waitress that how long will it take to serve the meal. She go angry and answered "it will come". Moreover again we waited for half an hour to get back to us with meal. Once we get our food nobody come to us to ask for "how is your meal"or "do you need anything else"? I used to worked in hospitality but I have learned if you get any type of customer even fussy all you need is to smile and understand how important they are and provide them best service. While leaving the restaurant still she never asked "did you enjoy your meal" she was like here is your bill. I wish I could give 0 rating but here is no option.
