I had a really terrible experience with Daniel, he said I needed a root canal and multiple fillings (costing way over $1000), luckily I went and got a second opinion and found out I didn't need any of the above. Extremely disappointing service, I would not recommend to anyone.

I have actually hit the jackpot here! My oral health has improved tenfold within a short period of time, due to solid professional practices, and advice from Dan and Karen. I also feel my overall systemic wellbeing is so much better now too. Thanks team. Nga Mihi and smiley face.

Okay edited this cause I cant reply their story. Here is mine.

Went to Lumino cause of Massive tooth pain, Doctor said its a bacteria infection into the pulp, needs root canal ($2000) or extraction ($500). Gave me antibiotics for the swelling. Called the doctor several times (couldn’t reach her) and asked for many call backs to get some more help from this doctor. No reply.

Went to another dentist at New Lynn. Guess what, there no infection, it was just my previous filling was high which lead to tooth? Pain which was luckily figured out. When I went in to talk to Dr Ewan, he avoided the topic and gave me a full mouth xray and send me home with a list of teeth whiting things that I can get done at Lumino. (bits and pieces missing but…)

The worst experience in my lifetime. The Team dont to try fix the problem just get hold on your money. I would suggest going anywhere other that Lumino. Please try any other denstist for a second opinion in your case and you will understand what I'm talking about.kind regards,

Really bad experience. I will never visit this place again.called the receptionist 5 times to request my x ray documents and she was really rude and i still have not got my x ray yet.
Please save your money and go to a place with a better value for money or atleast go to a place where they aren't rude to you for no reason.

I can't rate the team at Lumino Mt Eden (Dominion Road not Village) highly enough. I was too scared to visit the dentist for years but over the past six years they have been so caring and considerate that all that fear has fallen away. My dentist knows her stuff and is very approachable, my hygienist is beyond awesome and helps me deal with some quirks with the equipment by finding different ways to do things, and the front of house staff are friendly, approachable and make sure appointment information is emailed out straight away. Worth traveling for!

We went to get my wife’s tooth checked up only reason we went there was because on lumino website it was advertised as after pay payment option. Once everything was done and went to pay to the counter they said they don’t accept Afterpay, they we saw zip pay brochures on the front desk and asked if we could do zip pay instead, again we were told they don’t accept zip pay and only full payments accepted. We had to pay full amount on the spot when they advertised Afterpay on their website and zippay at their location.
False advertising
Would not recommend to anyone

I would give Anna 5 stars as she is the best dentist I have ever seen. She completely alleviated all my worries and was professional, kind and competent. Every experience was painless and I would recommend her to anyone. However, very unfortunately, Karen (the receptionist) is horrible! After some thinking, I will not be returning to Lumino Mt Eden just so I can avoid ever dealing with this individual again. I spoke to her recently on the phone to arrange an appointment, but I ended up hanging up the phone in shock and without making a booking. Karen was extremely rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and condescending. I am from a customer service background, so I understand that she may have had difficulty with previous customers or was just having a bad day. But she had absolutely no reason to take it out on me; I was nothing but polite and friendly the entire call.

Poor customer support.
Although I was a customer of this center and made an appointment online, just because I did not answer their phone during business hours to reconfirm my appointment, they cancelled my time and did not notify me. When I took leave and went there, the secretary told me that she had cancelled my appointment.
