Lumino The Dentists: Mt Eden Auckland

Coming into the dentists slightly nervous, I wasn't sure what to expect - the doctor I saw (Dr Daniel Kamariera) really made me feel comfortable and at ease, and was incredibly professional in his job. One of the nicest encounters with a medical professional I've had yet!

Would definitely NOT recommend Daniel. He tried to fleece me saying I needed 12 fillings and a tooth extraction all for $4000. Luckily I got a second opinion. I actually only needed a clean. No sign of tooth decay and certainly no indication of a tooth eating bacteria he told me I had. He also said if I did not get this work done soon, I would be looking at dentures in my near future. I'm only 58 and I have never had problems with my teeth before. Furthermore, he was going to do this work with no sedation, only local. He even recommended I get used to having dental work done without gas. He also did not show me the xrays that I paid for and kept me waiting between appointments for 3 weeks. I am reporting this dentist to the NZDA.

Anna (Dentist) and Karen (Hygienist) are the best of the best:)! Always taking the best care whenever I go to see them. Would recommend them to anyone who has bad experiences with other dental practices! Thank you guys so much!

The dentist (Luke?) who was assigned to look after our kid was not even on the lumino mt eden website. He is definitely not experienced with kid. He made the kid cry and jamming the xray film into the poor kid mouth and gave up after that. He kept talking about being humane and referring us to specialist.just not a good experience for us as a parent.

I personally have been for hygiene and receive great service.

The doctor was in a rush and kept telling me he does not have much time so was not able to tell him my entire problem. I booked an appointment the day before for a reason. He spent more time in explaining about the cost of removing my teeth rather than the problem I went in for. Very disappointed to see such big dental clinic performing with such low standards. Would definitely not go back.

Big fan of the team here! Made it a fun experience coming in and was able to have great conversation with everyone I encountered. Very knowledgeable staff! Would highly recommend

Such a good service the Mt Eden lumino team provide. I have been going for three years, and no issues. It makes going to the dentist a nice experience believe it or not!

My appointments were on time. I found the dentist and hygienist to be very professional and caring. Each step during my treatment was explained clearly. I was also educated how best to look after my teeth on a daily basis. The ancillary staff were welcoming and friendly. Reminders of appointment times were both by text and phone. The premises were exceptionally clean and presented to a high standard.

Went to get a checkup and filling replaced. Lady Dentist I saw was very nice and I had no pain during or after treatment. Lose one star because I think they try and push more treatments and kept asking me to sign up to year long treatment plans.

Karen & Ewan are both wonderful, and I find all the people at Lumino Mt Eden friendly - Recommend this Lumino 100%. Karen, your care, encouragement & perseverance with my teeth and myself this morning made my day:)
