Handy having Bunnings nearby for the price match exercise.
Garden centre is well-run and staff knowledgeable and helpful.
Finding specialist staff in hardware aisles can be problematic, and may require a Customer Service call-out.
Checkout staff friendly and efficient.
Returning items is hassle-free.
Parking easy if you don't mind the outer edges of the carpark during peak times.
Used click and collect and my order was ready ahead of requested time best prices for treated timber and had it in stock
They wont give you the member discount unless you are a member but to become a member you got to head home and do it online they won't do it in person, so do your homework first before buying little minion cause if you want to shop here you will be treated like a child.
I like Mitre 10 but if you can find someone to help in.thr area you need it. Then you ate indeed lucky. I somehow think there are only a few staff to ask not many seem to know about all the items sold. So you wlak yourself silly to find a person to help which can be frustrating if in a hurry.
Joshua from the painting department was extremely helpful. He was so friendly and nice, he helped us with all our questions and gave us some great tips to help with painting. His customer service was superb. We definately would recommend him. All the other staff we dealt with in the Glenfield store were very helpfull and friendly also.
Great service from the two young fellas working in the trade area. Loaded my ute for me and were just bloody awesome young men!
Normally enjoy shopping at this store, last few times however, there has been a store security guard strutting around, I don't have any issue with store security as they are doing a job, my first experience with this Guard was the worst, we were blatantly followed around the store like we had intentions of stealing, after not to long I had to go sit in my vehicle as I'm recovery from a knee replacement, this OTT guard then proceeded to walk around the carpark til found me sitting in my car, I'm not sure but it looked like he was trying to remember my rego number, all we were.doinf was shopping and in fact spent around $2700 that day, since that day I became been there 2-3 times, all of which had this excessive individual ruin my day, I am reluctant to go to Glenfield Mitre10 now and is 100% due to being me to feel so uncomfortable by this s

BAD FORM MITRE 10 GLENFIELD
I went at 7: 30am on a Thursday morning, and I suspect I was the only non-trade customer there. The service was exceptional, with the chap explaining the pros and cons of the range of taps, so I could make an informed decision.
Ordered products through website, products listed as damaged by courier, when i called was told once it leaves the store its not their responsibility!
I was looking for bathroom items, which they had stock of pretty much everything I had seen online, and on display, which I really appreciated! When I needed help I was able to approach the staff and they were pleasant and helpful. They were even able to trolley a large heavy item to my car and put it in, as I was unable to lift it.
The lighting department wasn't as well stocked and I wasn't able to find the lights I was looking for.
Overall, any let-down in department stock/display was overcome by how lovely the staff were.
I love shopping here and the fact it's a NZ company, locally owned and operated. The staff service level is always very good, and in my experience far superior to the competing hardware store next door. Price is always favourable with the price beat offer.
Lovely, helpful staff. Unfortunately though the pot we wanted didn't have it's matching saucer. Apparently this happens a lot.even though they are sold together at 1 price for both.
It's a New Zealand owned company, any staff member knows where products are located, and they take the trouble to verify that you purchase the correct items for the function
Ordered online doing click and collect for a 10am pickup. Huge thanks to Tim who rang to say there was going to be a small delay. 5 stars for that reason.
I started next door at the rival australian branch - bunnings.popped in quickly with the family to buy a new zealand made tool belt. As usual, bunnings was in a state of disorganisation, and although online they said the product was in stock, there was nothing, nobody to help and all the belts were in random boxes and unlabelled. Complete mess.
Walked out of bunnings and right next door to Mitre-10 Glenfield. Immediately i was asked if i needed help and i went straight to the aisle i was looking for and everything was hung and displayed nicely. Took me 2 secs to find what i needed.
It cost $2 more - and i know mitre-10 do the “beat by 15%” deal but i didnt bother going and asking, out of laziness. It would have saved me a few bob but i was just happy that this mitre-10 actually was a pleasure to shop at.
Recommended store!
Hopeless customer service. Bought a drop saw in August 2019. Three weeks later it stop working. I brought it back and asked for refund. They say yes sure but first we have to check whats wrong with it. Few days after they call me to tell they will send it for repair despite me insistin on refund or replace as I can not continue with rennovation at my place without a tool. I told them already bought a good one.
5 months later they call me and tell me it is ready for pick up. I asked them to send me written response so we can go to the district court to sort it. Month after no response or calls they just disappeared.
Those guys from different planet. Basically the worst experience I had so far.
Quantity and quality of plumbing for kitchen sinks options not good. Didn't find anything. Had to go to plumbing supplier. Never used to in the past.
Always find what I need there, and they have excellent customer service. I have the store is very well arranged and I was able to grab a coffee at the cafe in-store which was really good too!
Huge range, plenty of staff who are all very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My favourite physical store to browse through!
