Very big, compared to Bunnings was quite suprised. But good Garden centre and then you have the Columbus cafe quite convenient.

They have most everything you need. The staff are always helpful. Its just the price that lets them down. They are expensive. I was told by a staff member that they added 400% to the cost of inline water filter I wanted because they purchased it cheap. This pricing policy was also confirmed by a trade account holder for other stock items. Come on Mitre 10 management stop ripping of the general public.

Shame about their promotional 15 percent hoax, it's only honoured if people are prepared to waste a lot of time and be embarrassed to take back their purchase to the other store. Once when I pointed out their Facia timber boards were cheaper elsewhere I got told if I wasn't happy go buy it at the other store.
Staff are usually excellent and knowledgeable. Even had a guy change a blade on my circular saw for me.

Love going to this store, staff has great knowledge about products and always know what im looking for even the smallest DIY weekend

Unfortunately towards the end of last year my sister and I had to leave Mitre 10 MEGA Pukekohe due to there staff complaining about how loud our children were being on the playground they have built and provided for toddlers and children.

Before we grabbed coffee's etc we went into the playground with my 3 year old and her 3 and 2 year old (THAT THEY HAVE BUILT NEXT TO CHECKOUTS, AN OFFICE AND COFFEE SHOP) we were there for about 15mins and the kids were having a ball and they started to get really excited with their play screaming with excitement every now and we tried to get them to stop but weren't having much luck (they were toddlers on a playground). After the 4th or 5th round of screams a staff member approached the playground saying the kids were making to much noise and were upsetting the staff and we needed to calm them down. We explained that's what we were trying to do but they are toddlers on a playground and are excited. The staff member then offered to tell our children off for us which did not sit well with me at all. So we decided to pack the kids up and head to another place. The kids were gutted and confused.

I called the manager and as I explained that we felt uncomfortable with the whole situation as we hadn't been there long at all and if they could hear the kids they would have been able to hear us parenting to (INSIDE THE PLAYGROUND NOT SITTING IN THE CAFE OR SHOPPING IGNORING THEM) she became very defensive and unapologetic. She said she would go down and see what the situation was but did not take my details or anything to follow this up.

Maybe they might like to change the playground area into a library instead of providing a great play area for toddlers and children to enjoy themselves in?

CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY TODDLERS ON A PLAYGROUND ARE GOING TO BE LOUD MITRE 10 MEGA PUKEKOHE. THINK ABOUT IT.

If you get the correct person who looks after the area they generally have excellent knowledge of the product
It pays to wait and ask for the boss for the area and you get excellent service

Have made several visits over the past few weeks gathering my supplies to redo my back garden. Ended up getting woven weedmat, Number 8 compost, and mulching bark. Also bought 2 low growing Brunfelsia (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) and a small Gardenia. All the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Big shout out to Dee especially, she's helped me out with all sorts of suggestions for my garden. If you need help with loading your purchases into your vehicle, like I did with 10 bags of compost and 8 bags of mulch, there's always someone to help. Good variety of plants, shrubs, fruit trees, flowers, pots and tubs, fertilizers, etc.and even garden art to choose from.

Price for a simple lamp shade retainer was $5. Seems very expensive when same place had multi plugs for $7.

Sometimes hard to get staff know what you're after, having to show photos off the phone. In saying that great space lots of room.

Everything you need for your home garden and building projects. Staff will walk you to the isle you are looking for.

Good parking, super helpful and friendly staff. We always walk out with what we needed and usually more. Kids love coming because play area and well equipped cafe.

Easy parking lovely cafe, the place to go if you have gardening jobs or if you have household maintenance requirements they have great selection

Really appreciate Dean and his team at Mitre 10 Mega for their generous community spirit. They sponsor so many groups and initiatives in our community and we are so lucky to have them in our town.

Wonderful helpful staff. Met a very knowledgeable guy in the tools aisle. He listened to the description of my problem then explained he had had a truck shop in the past and that the solution to my problem would be to drill out the head of my problem screws. I then purchased some metal drill bits and replacement bolts and went home. Found his advice was spot on. Perfect solution to my problem

Typical mitre 10, but it has pretty much everything a man needs. Love coming here by myself and just browsing.

Staff has good knowledge on the products they sell. One can find what you need nearly everytime you go there.a bit more pricey than other hardware stores but good quality products makes it reasonable.

Very helpful staff and pleasant to deal with. At first they did not have what I required by staff member Heather went out of her way to get the items tiger for me to pick up. She also followed up by phone as she said she would. She has my vote. I will return when in the area.

A mega store, full of tools, household items, garden center inside the store. And if you need a little break, there's a cafe instore.
