Amazing service, great vibe and delicious food. Can be quite hard to find decent eateries in the east but this one stands out.

Incredible, definitely recommend you come here for a casual bite to eat or a nice dinner with your loved ones! From the moment you enter the door you are greeted and taken care of. Delicious food, beautiful setting and a team with a world of experience and knowledge.

Another beautiful lunch today. Morell never fails to deliver. Food was exquisitely presented with the flavours to back it up. Pork belly was incredible and the truffle string fries.yum! Staff as always were friendly and professional. Will be back.

Positives: Nice welcome and sit down, one meal of two was delicious.
Negatives: We waited at least 25 minutes for our food and drink order to be taken. After we caught someone's attention we got the impression we'd been overlooked. Then someone else came and wordlessly set out cutlery. Another person came with the food, surprisingly quickly. We were about to start when they came back, swept the plates off the table and said they were for another table! Our jaws dropped. They didn't ask if we had started, and we could have coughed or spat on the food in the meantime (we hadn't). Wine glass servings seemed skimpy for $19 and $20. When we left, no questions about were we happy, just how did we want to pay and a friendly farewell. We agreed we'll just vote with our feet and will never go back.

The most amazing cocktails, food and service. We went for a ladies lunch and all 6 of us were so impressed. We will definitely be back. My new favourite place!

Morels, a devine treat nestled in delightful neighborhood. Service is exceptional and the food will take your tastebuds on a journey from good night out to one you'll wish will never end. I'll be dreaming of the billowy focaccia and the warm ocean of pasta butter sauce for days to come.

A warning for fellow diners.
We ate here twice over a 6 month period. On both occasions extra wine was added to our bill. There was only my wife, and I early dining around 6pm, so not busy.
Once I put down to a genuine error, but twice?
Maybe we look gullible.
For the food I would rate it 4 star.

The classic neighbourhood bistro. Use to go regular just for the spanner crab tagliolini which I was addicted to, however seems like there was a change in the exact pasta used sometime in 2020 and unfortunately not quite the same anymore. But overall a nice safe bet for the classics.

Did we come on a bad night? I'm surprised at all the glowing reviews as our recent meal was very average. Chicken Marsala came in a cream sauce without much Marsala flavour. But even worse, instead of thin, pounded chicken cutlets, they serve a full breast. And it was dry. The eggplant parmigiana, which should have been great - this is an Italian restaurant, after all - was not. The whole dish was bland, especially the sauce, and it needed salt. The lamb rump was mostly puree with only a few small pieces of lamb on the plate - at $39 you expect more.

However, the pork belly bites starter was superb as were the two desserts. Still, at these prices, we all came away disappointed.

Firstly, I like the service here, it’s extraordinary, (I was going to have lunch in a French cafe in Remuera, but left just after staying there for one minute due to the poor service). I have to admit that no matter what you order here, you will already have been impressed by the world-class service before your taste buds are surprised later. Secondly, the food is elegant and tasty, pepper and salt are freshly grinned, soft music and warm environment in a winter Saturday, doesn’t it sound perfect?

Beautifully presented and delicious food indeed loved the buns will have those again. The male gentleman working in the bar area had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Not too friendly. Riding the ego wave. So 1 star taken for that uncomfortable encounter. However the person who served us was very friendly and accommodating with great communicating skills. Place is a bit on the top end cost wise. I eat out a lot so am comparing it with other similar restaurants. I like the area it is in quiet and peaceful. Went there midday on the week so not many people at all.

We were a group of 12 who went there for dinner. The food was just delicious and service was equally as great. We would definitely return. Thank you.

Came by for a birthday dinner and so we went with cocktails and a multi-course meal. They had quite a selection of food and drinks and it all sounds quite nice. I got the paper tiger and it was more bitter than I thought it would be. My friend had the tickled pink and that was surprisingly nice.
We started with the baos and bread. The fried bread was quite nice. The pork belly in the bao was slightly underseasoned but the chicharron gave it a nice flavour. I was pleasantly surprised with the cioppino. The seafoody stew had a really nice flavour and the right amount of smokiness to work with the seafood. It was a bit of a pain to get all the crab meat out but it was cooked well and quite sweet. The pasta on the pappardelle was a bit on the soft side for me but the flavour of the ragu was nice. The ravioli was really tasty though.the buttery sauce and the creamy filling was very moreish.
Most of the desserts were nice. I wasn't a fan of the gingernut in the banoffee pie but the other components were good. The profiteroles were great with the show of chocolate being poured over the. The toffee in the sticky date pudding was nice and silky and the pudding itself was moist enough to not need it but tasted so much nicer with it.
A really nice place for a lovely dinner. Great food and service all around.

Great place for dinner. We loved the Tuna and the spaghetti. The ragu had great texture, and the staff were very friendly. Will come again!

Very easy booking process online and excellent customer service at the restaurant. All staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. We ordered the ceviche, scampi risotto and crab tagliatoni. All were good but not exceptional. Perhaps we were expecting a lot based on the reviews online that we saw.

Apart from the waiter not offering us the accompanying glass of wine as part of the crayfish deal, and assuming (wrongly) which one of us was having which main dish, the meals and sides were all delicious, the chef was responsive to changing our entree to make it keto-friendly, the staff kept our water glasses full, and we had a lovely evening. We really like the Māori and Pacific twist on the menu so will be back to try the rest of the dishes. Would recommend a visit if you're nearby

Great food, great service, lovely spot. Tiffany blue colour scheme in spots! I had the pork belly. Yum yum. Not the cheap but you get what you pay for. I'm definitely coming back with more friends!
