Morell Bistro & Bar

Went yesterday evening on a cold blustery night and had a great time with friends. I had the cioppino with Crab, prawns, cockles, calamari & market fish served in traditional Italian tomato & pernod ragu. It was excellent. The red wine selection was limited (at the less than $150/bottle selection). Dessert was lovely! It cost $66/person with a bottle between four of us and one cocktail.
Looking forward to returning. I’d give a 4.5 if there was one and look forward to a greater red wine selection next time!

Great dinner. Haven’t eaten at this local for a while and was impressed. Will be back. Was packed which was good to see.

Great menu - very varied (to suit everyone from teenagers to foodies). Staff are exceptional - very friendly and great wine recommendation. Food was delicious. A perfect place to enjoy a small family celebration.

Amazing service! Very good food. Could improve ambiance by obscuring the road with something a bit more. Maybe some inside wash lights?

This is going to be a first line restaurant. Our party of five REALLY enjoyed the experience of the food, the wait staff, the decor, environment, wine etc and we look forward to the full development of this wonderful place. On this Friday night the staff were greatly challenged by the full number of customers. Service was slow and unpredictable. But we think this restaurant was excellent and will be better when staffing needs and predicability are improved.

Great bar to deal with. Had an area booked out for after our wedding and Morell were awesome at hosting our guests, and looking after everything.
They catered to all of our requests and made our after celebration special.

Amazing food and service. Highly recommended. Worth calling ahead on a weeknight because its a suburban restaurant after all.

I stopped in for a beer (ok two beers). It's a lovely location and the service was friendly and fast.

My 90 year old Dad (who lives in Pakuranga) had heard about Morell on the radio and said 'let's go there'. Father and Son had a very enjoyable dinner on a Saturday night opting for the set menu. Seafood is our thing - the Calamari salad (entree) and Snapper (main) were both excellent, nicely presented, generously served and absolutely delicious. Add to this a great service by the very pleasant waitstaff overseen by a most welcoming Host. A very clean restaurant, with tidy washrooms, easy carparking coupled with a nice pleasant vibe. We had a great evening at Morell. Thank you.

Went yesterday, amazing little gem! Awesome food, great service. Loved the cocktail, too. This would be my new go-to food place for Sundays if I didn't leave Auckland soon.

Great brunch fresh menu. Professional and warm welcoming service. Definitely recommend, must visit again for dinner and other plates on the menu.

We were excited to go somewhere new for lunch. Sadly we were disappointed.
Set lunch was an extremely small portion. I think it best to order lunch from the main menu. We asked for bread after seeing our lunch arrive. We had nearly finished when we were told they bake their own, (so it takes forever). We cancelled the bread and the manager, who was very happy and helpful, offered us complimentary coffee. Again a delay! It took 15 minutes! Just as well the place was full or who knows what.

Went in there one day for lunch. One of the best seafood paella's I've eaten in nz. It was the special for the day and they were very generous with the serving and the seafood. The variety of ingredients was amazing! Fresh prawns, squid, fish, mussels, calms and a bit of chorizo. Yum. We ordered the thick cut chips with truffle mayo and that was excellent too! Be sure to ask for an extra serving of the sauce (you can do that later as well, that's fine) as that gets cleaned up real quick as it's super tasty and you're left with half a plate of chips. The service is incredible, very warm and attentive staff. Lovely and calming ambience. Im glad to have found this little gem in remuera.
