Onslow

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Onslow. The service was prompt and the waitress very helpful. The food was excellent with amazing flavour combinations. My only suggestion is that in a restaurant of this quality I would like to have my cutlery placed on a cloth or table mat, not directily on the surface of the table. It would be more hygenic.

What a fabulous place to celebrate Christmas Eve! The service was fantastic-thank-you to our very patient waitress Sandra who guided us effortless through the menu and helped us with wines to match. According to my partner it was the best duck he has ever had! And the raspberry souffle was the perfect dessert to end a truly wonderful meal. We cant wait to return. - a wonderful dining experience enjoy it -

We came here for dinner as a treat as well as being post-lockdown we wanted to go somewhere special. Our waitress Katie went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and made a memorable night for us. Thank you Onslow for the great food and drinks. Thank you Katie for looking after us!

It was only the second time we had been to Onslow, 6 months ago, but one of the staff remember us!
Service was prompt, knowledgeable and good-humoured. We had a transport stuff up and when I phoned to say we would be a few minutes latethey were unfazed.
Food- i started with the fry bread, then followed up with the roast pork and summer greens.
Husband had crayfish eclair, then hapuka with paua and squid ink.
For dessert I had the raspberry soufflé and he had the chocolate cremeux.
The whole meal was divine. Just the right space between courses, and the coffee was HOT!

Had a wonderful anniversary lunch here yesterday, would love to of added more photos but it was so good we ate it all before we could take snaps! The Hapuka and creamed squid ink paua was an utterly harmonious mouthful, the salmon trolley was out of this world and I loved the attention to zero waste with the tail end being made into a beautiful salmon mousse! Will definitely be back again not just for the food but the wonderful service.
