Oyster and Chop reviews
62Nice location and venue and nice coffee. Breakfast was a bit average though, quite greasy bacon and eggs and took a long time to arrive. But otherwise a nice venue and worth a second try.
Great ambience and awesome food. Portion sizes were good and we enjoyed it all. Recommend it for a special occasion or a nice romantic evening for 2.
Cosy atmosphere, excellent cocktails, and exceptional food! The staff were friendly and very attentive. As I was joking with my partner afterwards "it's like going to steak heaven! "
Fanrastic oyster and promotion. Do email or give them a call. From mon-fri. 3-6pm. 2.50nzd/oyster. Other than that time $54 for a dozen of oyster. Friendly waiter and romantic ambience
Super delicious place for brunch, right in the middle of the Auckland viaduct. Great variety on the menu, and beautiful setting. First time we visited the service was great, second time not so much.
Fantastic fresh creamy local oysters, which were amazing. Great food and atmosphere, and the staff were amazing, all the dishes we had were delicious, and we'll definitely be coming back again.
Second time going to this restaurant and should say I am truly disappointed. Three of us came to have lunch today and left truly unsatisfied. Service was very slow with less than half full restaurant. Two of us ordered kipper which was oversalted, friend ordered toast with salmon, bread was dry, food tasteless. Out of three desserts only one was great - peanut butter cream brulee. Would not come back and would not reccomend. Sorry guys: (
Delicious kingfish ceviche and very special venison main- chef recommended rare and well rested- Tasty local kiwi whites and reds. Central Otago and Marlborough - Newyorker chatty waiter and Northern Irn staff trying to run a business. Would recommend.
Great food, service was a bit slow given the restaurant wasn't full. It was disappointing when a lot of the staff seemed to in meeting near the toilets the whole time we were there. Having said that the food was good so with better service I'd to be happy to go back.
Good food spoiled by an awful and forgetful waiter. 40 minutes to be asked for drinks, had to get our own cutlery, serve ourselves water and he forgot the wine until after dinner. FFS. Manager tried to accommodate, but I was already so upset I couldn't stay.
Their food was fine, but I'd say their entrees and desserts are more extraordinary than their mains and meat. Which is a bit of a shame.
Most of the staff are friendly, only the lady at the reception is a bit unresponsive.
Very average food, but service was pretty good. Nice atmosphere, great location. Probably won't comeback for food though
Really nice place on the harbor, great views to look over when dining. Menu selection is really nice, food is top quality and full of flavour, really nice place to go. Will be going there lots more
Nice location but most staff seem quite green and not very organised resulting in sub standard service
One of the place for best quality steak in town, come here for oysters during happy hour too, I guarantee you wouldn't be disappointed!
Great location but meals for breakfast are a bit hit and miss. Nice ideas but not executed so well. Had the baked beans and they were thinly smeared on two large slabs of bread. Also only one small vine tomato.
Great breakfast presented in style in a superb location. Fabulous NZ hospitality at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
A restaurant with a very nice and friendly atmosphere and good food. The view is absolutely amazing as well with the water visible from outside the large windows. I would definitely recommend eating here when visiting Auckland!
Celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary here and they made us feel very special indeed with champagne and congratulations truffles! Thank you so much for excellent food and service.thoroughly recommend this restaurant!
Wagyu beef is to die for. I learned that here. I learned many things here. Mostly about food, beer, service, having my expectations exceeded and a great view out over the Auckland waterfront area. Whilst it's not the cheapest place to eat in town, from my experience, it's true that you get what you pay for here, and it was worth every cent!
