Shady as. Under somewhat recent new ownership it seems. See the reviews further down. Absolute rip off, also diagnosed the car for a warrant check completely wrong. Went to VTNZ for a much cheaper and accurate check in the end. Do not recommend, at all!

What a joke this place has become, I have always gone here to get my WOFs, this time I believe under new ownership. I booked the day before a time of 12pm for my WOF, 12: 10pm two people leave in my vehicle and arrive back at 12: 25pm, when I question where they went in my vehicle he said to check the brakes. 15 min drive? Seriously? ! Never had that experience in getting a WOF. So I asked is it all finished? Then I was told have to wait for my guy to come back and sign it off, then he says it can't be finished because he can't login to the online system and wants to give me a loan vehicle to leave in then come back! So, I simply took my car and left. If you want some Micky Mouse people working on your car, trust me come here you will get GREAT service. NOT! Will also be laying a complaint with the NZTA.

100% Recommend. Have always come here to service my car or even just go to get my car looked at if I think something is wrong with it, excellent service and always get looked after here. Loyal customer since new ownership. Show respect and you shall receive it back!

Refused to honour grabone deal, saying late models were not covered (there was a provision that states that an oil surcharge may be added.)

Then the guy on the phone threatened to sue me because I said they were being fraudulent. Nasty experience, would never trust them with my car.

Additional note: Grabone staff mentioned that there were “quite a few” complaints.

Be careful their price was expensive. They diagnosed my Honda engine light issue and turned out only cleaning up fuel injectors will fix it. Nothing was changed and half day labour cost me about 600.

Went there for wheel balancing using a grabone voucher. Friendly service. Nasir is vastly knowledgeable about both Japanese and European cars. I went back to get my Mercedes serviced, fast and economical and used 5w30 oil without me asking for it (though that's what I wanted). Had battery sign come up a few days later on the Merc, Nasir was able to identify the cause over the phone (before even looking at the car) endorsing his knowledge of European cars. I know his diagnosis was accurate as I cross-checked with Mercedes about the battery sign. Highly recommended!

Just had my car serviced at short notice by Nasir and his team. Fantastic customer service, extremely knowledgeable and friendly mechanics. Couple of things wrong with my car but NO hard sell to try and get them fixed. Awesome team and I will definitely be going back to Railside Auto Centre again:)

Same experience like Mr. Verma, my car required 5w30 oil and they charged me more (the deal of grab one included 5w30 oil) and they found out a bunch unnecessary works to do.people please be careful especially if you don’t have mechanical knowledge.

On grabone its showing 10w40 or 5w30 engine oil. After making a booking, i went for work than charged extra for oil because i want 5w30.they suggest to change AC filter, brake flush which was another $110, i went to two other mechanics they said no need to do this stuff as its fine. No GST invoice or document provided which will show what has been done in service, which oil they used. Trying to rip-off

Through the years, this has been my go to mechanic shop at Henderson and every single transaction has been so worth it! Such honest, reliable and trustworthy mechanics. They are very thorough and service is quick! WOF is so affordable too! Highly recommended. Wouldn't trade this for any other shops. Cheers Railside Auto Centre!
