Sails Restaurant

Absolutely fabulous restaurant with amazing views and food. I normally don’t like seafood but the King Salmon was out of this world. The food also came out incredibly quickly and service was incredibly good.

Couldn't ask for a better Auckland restaurant. The location, the service and the wine list are all spectacular.

20 years since we have been to this restaurant, our friends wanted to go back so decided to go, so happy we did top service from the minute we walked in, all of us were so happy with the food and the portion size, it is med to high prices but worth the experience, give it a go we won’t leave it 20 years again. The staff are very well trained and this restaurant is 5 star also the most beautiful location looking over the Marina and to the Harbour Bridge

Love everything about this restaurant. I love the crayfish here. The toilets here are also very clean and tidy. Beautiful view from inside the restaurant. Service is great too.

Worst restaurant I ever been to. The lady at the counter is very rude and has some attitude problem.

The food is great, the service is very friendly but the staff had no clue what anything was that they were serving, when I asked about the wine with the pairings, they didn't know what any of them were, or where they were from. Not the end of the world but some training wouldn't hurt.

The best restaurant in Auckland. Period. The dishes are fresh and nice with beautiful presentation. Staff are friendly and attentive. The view over the marina with harbor bridge and Auckland CBD high rises backdrop. This is the place to go for all my important celebrations. Brilliant place!

Great food (should probably get crayfish here), nice place, easy parking. Would be called a 'fine dining' experience.

We celebrated my special birthday with lunch at Sails, the service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was delicious!

Food was great, vibe and atmosphere was good. Terrible experience of the customer service at the end. We have ordered 10 signature set menu and drinks to celebrate our friend birthday. The receptionist wasn't very pleasant with the split bill approach, it is understandable that the process may take a long time and might be a hassle, but if the options has been offered to their customers, I reckon that they shouldn't be so unhappy about it. 13/11/2022

Great place for a birthday lunch, even with many Christmas party groups dining there, the service and food was exceptional, as were the views. Highly recommended

Had the 6 course dinner on NYE with family. Simply stunning - very attentive servers, great food - tasted amazing and presented really well.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Sails Restaurant today. The restaurant was very full with Xmas Partys, however the service was spot on with little wait between courses. The food was exquisite having chosen the Hawkes Bay Lamb as a main. There were four generous pieces of lamb which was so tender it melted in your mouth. There was a great selection of desserts to choose from too. The waiter asked us if we were celebrating an occasion, my husbands birthday is on Monday. They went to the trouble of presenting him with a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate and two chocolates with a candle in the middle, a touching gesture. Would recomnend Sails Restaurant for a special occasion, you wont be disappointed.

Beautiful setting, delicious food and lovely staff, very accommodating. We've thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. Highly recommend the S&P calamari and main duck dishes.

Loved it! Highly recommend. Service was amazing as was the food and the views. Best time to go is when it's evening with sunset leading into the evening.

Food was fantastic, brilliant location and atmosphere.
Pity our waiter was extremely rude all night and shocked our entire table with appalling comments, attitude and tone of voice every time he came to our table.

Cannot explain in words how amazing and world class this dining experience was. From someone who never usually writes reviews, I had to write this one for those deciding which restaurant to choose when visiting Auckland.

From the very beginning, we unfortunately came late for our anniversary dinner because of our delayed flight. They understood fully and still held our table.

The food, the view, the service was literally the best I’ve ever had. Such a great way to celebrate our anniversary; top notch experience and restaurant.

Who would’ve thought that this restaurant would exceed the #1 rank on TripAdvisor, but it absolutely shattered it!
