Sails Restaurant

Very nice restaurant with an enjoyable vibe and ambiance. This was my first time going here and the food they served was very good value for the price of their degustation ($110PP). My only critique is that the calamari felt very out of place, it was not at the level of the other dishes and was the only black mark on my overall experience

We tried the signature experience menu. It was absolutely delicious. Each course with its own perfect explosions of flavours. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys fine dining. Service was impeccable and setting was beautiful. We'll be back.

Good service, excellent lighting and atmosphere, very nice food and a brilliant view. For the total package, a very fair price too. Only good things here.

We went here recently for dinner. We were shown to a table looking out over the marina, harbour and harbour bridge, which was beautiful. The dining room had lovely ambience; subtle lighting and white linen and candles. Tables were far enough apart and the room is carpeted, providing muted sound levels, despite the restaurant being almost full. It was nice to be able to have a conversation without having to raise one’s voice or shout to make oneself heard, as is the case in many other restaurants.
The service we received was professional, friendly and very helpful, especially in regard to a dietary requirement.
The seafood entrees and mains we had were excellent in their freshness, flavour and presentation.
There was an error in our billing. Another table's drinks were mistakenly added to ours, but it was quickly and good naturedly remedied, so was not enough of an issue to rate our experience as other than excellent.
Thanks to all concerned; we will definitely return.

Absolutely deserves the accolades. We'll be going back for any celebration. Food, team and acoustics all excellent: The menu was built upon a foundation of exceptional produce, beautifully crafted into gorgeous plates. All quite substantial and we all loved all of our dishes. That is so rare at a restaurant! Topped off by a really pleasant team and the pleasure of being able to hear what each other is saying! The food is impeccable. The environment is warm. The staff are on the ball. If you are looking for fine dining in Auckland put Sails up there in the top 3. We will definitely be going back.

Sail’s been a place we love to go to celebrate any little Celebration.we are always happy here and we love the view, the people and the food.you should try their seafood dish it’s amazing!

Absolutely outstanding, I highly recommend sails, the food was incredible the highlight was the crayfish linguine and the petite fours, 5 star service and a 5 star experience I cannot in all fairness find fault.

Loved it right from the starters to the dessert. This was our second visit to Sails. The customer service was outstanding.

This rating is a typo error it should be 5 stars my wife and I had a wonderful 6 course meal, each one was a tasty delight, highly recommended for its service and marina views.

Diner here for Valentine's day on the set menu for the occasion. Food and service where too notch! Definitely recommended for a special occasion. The views alone are worth it.

Sails restaurant has very standard / traditional fare and maybe that is now their point of difference for the price you pay. However I believe for the clientele likely to go there, the fact you access the restaurant and bathrooms via some rather unsafe stairs is quite off putting for older people, the stairs are quite unsafe. I saw a number of older people needing assistance up and down the stairs. I think the location is fantastic, the venue itself is dated, the food is well cooked but a bit un-adventurous and the menu is over priced for what you are offered.

Divine seafood and exceptional service at Sails Restaurant. We went for their lunch Bluff Oyster special which was a dozen for $36. We booked ahead so we're given a table by the window which gave us stunning view of the water and harbour bridge

One of the best places to eat fresh crayfish in Auckland, I would say. Beautiful view, fancy atmosphere, excellent customer service.

Their crayfishes are very delicious and fresh. Market fish of the day is also mouthwatering and worth the try. If you are a seafood lover, Sails restaurant will definitely be your ocean!

I have nothing to complain about this place. Highly recommend!

Had a delicious dinner at Sails tonight, excellent service and food as usual with a beautiful view of the harbour.

The sea food is divine (especially the oysters: fresh and battered). The sashimi /scallops are fantastic, the beef dishes are equally amazing. To top it, the service is attentive, staff are always interactive.a must try is also the mushroom risotto which is immaculate!

We had the most amazing experience and lunch at Sails today. Sails never disappoints us after 35 years but today was extra special with Renee Restaurant Manager giving impeccable service so knowledgeable with food choices. The Bar person Sarah made he best cocktails ever so nice. Today was our favorite visit to Sails. Thank you team Sails for making our day so special.
