I've been getting my WOFs here, they do a proper inspection and have, so far, correctly identified issues, I fix my own car so it's always great when you find a diligent and honest garage that I can trust to thoroughly check my car

Have been dealing with Shore Automotive for over 5 years now and always been very happy with the service they provide. Dan and the team are professional and reliable, they ring to discuss options for repairs and are trustworthy. I usually try to book the courtesy car, which is always clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

I've dealt with Dan and his team for many years and have had no problems. Now in the south island with winter approaching and the heater in my vehicle not working I contacted Dan. Now sorted, spare part sourced, delivered and a self install I'll be warm whilst driving around. Highly recommend the team at Shore Automotive.

Shore Automotive are great! Needed to get my brakepads replaced. Many other places I called would not give me an estimate of pricing over the phone or said that I was not able to pay just for my brakepads without getting the disc rotors machined without even looking at them (which is not true). Shore Automotive gave an estimate over the phone, booked me in on the same day, were honest, competitively priced and just lovely to deal with all round. Thank you Shore Automotive!

Don't believe the fake reviews. Be very careful, they said my brakes failed their warrant test so I got a second opinion at VTNZ and my brakes were fine.

I take my car here for servicing and any work required. Dan and the team are always professional and friendly to deal with. Had to replace my starter motor a couple of weeks ago. They sorted it out very quickly and car is running like a dream.

Always lovely, friendly service with clear explanation of work needed and it always comes in at the quoted price. Best mechanic experience I've ever had and I'm a happy repeat customer.

I wouldn't say my experience has been as easygoing as the other reviews, but a combination of bad luck and bad days. When I first arrived I had a really good feeling about them, but when I left, I didn't.

First, there were quite a few things out of their control when the wrong part was delivered late, and then a misunderstanding that led to me wasting my time (50 extra km, getting there on a work day) and money ($160 extra) to go out of my way to reach their garage for a service when I could have used a closer, cheaper local one. When I calmly confronted them about it I did not get a great response, similar to when I asked details about what I was charged for.

Secondly I have a lot of respect for Dan for calling me the next day and apologizing for the way he handled the misunderstanding, and offering to remedy it- that's why I'd give them 4 stars. I think they are probably good people because of all the other reviews, but caught them on a bad day.

Dan and the team at Shore Automotive are absolute legends. I've looked for a reliable mechanic for the best part of a decade and am stoked I have finally found one I can trust. Able to help out at the drop of a hat and keep me educated and up to date with what my vehicle needs. Thanks for the help, guys.

Every dealing I've had with Shore Automotive has been honest and great. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else.
