Arrived early but they found us a nice table! The waiter was lovely the food was on the other hand was less than perfect! Very surprised as its always busy.

Crazy to go to one of THE best restaurants in Auckland IMHO just because SWKE (She Who Knows Everything) loves the Mac n Cheese. But she is of course right as it's a lovely place to watch the world go by and eat well frankly. We just love it and you will too

Delicious food and cocktails! The Mac and cheese is a must. Great service throughout the night. Our server was Lucca and he was extremely friendly! Highly recommend.

The restaurant is great, worthy of all the compliments! The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the location is great! We selected carefully and finally chose this restaurant. The dishes here are rich in variety, exquisite in appearance, delicious in color, fragrance and flavor.

Excellent in every way, nothing was a problem, all courses were full of taste and flavour. You really get what you pay for.

Interior is dated but the food and staff are impeccable. One of the true great Auckland eateries

Lovely position and atmosphere, we felt pressured to spend more than we wanted. Whitebait Fritter stodgy and the dressing overwhelmed the taste of the whitebait not good value for $46. The squid tasty disappointing for a signature dish. The waiter in presenting the bill suggested strongly by his body language he wanted a tip. Overall disappointing.

Since moving to Auckland more than 10 years ago I always thought of the restaurants around the viaduct as tourist traps and with the boom of great options in Ponsonby, Britomart and K Road I just never gave Soul much thought.but I was wrong.

This was my first time at Soul and I now realise why this restaurant is a classic Auckland original go-to for many people.

My steak was cooked so perfectly and melted in my mouth. The tuna tartare was delicious and dessert hit the spot too.

Beautiful place to eat and fantastic.
Wait staff were also fabulous, highly recommend

Was not impressed with the food it was over salted. And if you want a quiet place this is not it so noisy overall not a good experience

Average service. Food was above average but still overpriced. They charged 11 for sparkling water.

An amazing eatery. Everything was perfect - the menu, the food AND the service was well-timed and friendly. And of course the view was great too.

We had an amazing time there. Perfect afternoon with great weather. The food was excellent but the thing that made the experience truly great was the service of our waiter Dez (I think he said his name was). Proper service by a charming waiter who took extraordinary care of nan; whom we took there for lunch. Thanks for the great service Dez!

Good food, plated exquisitely. Responsive, friendly service with a split of indoor/outdoor seating options. A little high priced, but not over the top. Reservations not required, but recommended - they may be able to squeeze you in, but will also tell you when they need the table back. Dress code is all over the map, from hoodie to tux, but recommend dressing on the nicer side.

Food all with great quality. But they are too salty for me…have three bottles of water after the dinner…
