Soul Bar & Bistro

Could have been a perfect lunch but the rudeness of the staff at the end was a real let down. Guess it was the last time I'll ever take friends there.

Recommended by locals and we are glad we went. Soul bar has plenty of Soul, good tunes, great atmosphere and great food, all overlooking the harbour. The place was full Friday night and everyone was having a great time. Great people watching and plenty of seating both inside and out.

This is one of the best spots to dine in Auckland. If you are a visitor to town you must experience the ambiance, great service and food. The place is pricey but like most things in life you get what you pay for. Been here many times and always had a nice experience

Had dinner here last night and service was excellent. Very disappointed in new menu and food was very average will not be returning.

The staff went above and beyond to manage our booking and provide special birthday effect at dessert time to ensure our 60th birthday celebration was truly memorable. So very much appreciated. Every dish ordered was praised for it’s wonderful taste and presentation. Happy to have chosen SOUL for our special occasion. Thank you.

Beautiful restaurant by the pier. Food was delicious but staff were perhaps too busy for any service. Rather pricey but worth a visit.

My first time here. Ordered poached hapuku for 36dollars. Cozy price with so so taste and fish is overcooked.just see the picture below and you can guess the taste!

Absolutely amazing food and service. One of THE restaurants to visit in Auckland. Not only is the food flavoursome and cooked to perfection, its very reasonably priced for a 5 star like this.

The food was great but it took a long time to come. Two courses in 3 hours and the staff looked like they didn, t want to be there.

Such an amazing place. The food was awesome and the staff were sooo efficient and friendly. Our son who was in charge of the refurbishment a whike back took us there last night for dinner. We were so impressed. So well done!

Great food & service. Too many drunks in the restaurant to enjoy the experience. Why have loud music? Made it impossible to hold a conversation.

Tried hot mussels and lamb rack which are very good. Lamb is so tender and the sauce is a good combination. Overall the last point deducted is the price.

Fantastic food and very helpful and knowledgeable wait staff. They have a separate vegetarian menu which is very helpful and the view of the harbor is just the cherry on top!

Oysters great, chowder not so great. Clam pasta spoilt by burnt butter and crumbs. When I mentioned this to the friendly waitress upon her asking how the meal was she didn't offer to have another cooked and celebrating special birthday so didn't want to spoil it then, but they really need to up their game with so much competition at the Viaduct.

This was so disappointing! Really chose this restaurant on reviews but the place was so over crowded, the staff were so busy to the point of rudeness and the food, was cold and bland. This may be due to the fact that we were eating with the American Express offer but surely that must be one of their biggest promotions for future customers. Sorry but we won't eat there again.
