Plans are a joke.minimum prepaid data plan? $20 for 1.25GB - daylight robbery, this isn't 2009, what can you do with that little data.

I feel very sad that Spark operates in NZ. Super unreliable and low-quality service, for big amount of $, very bad customer support. Have been waiting for them to connect my house to Fibre for over 5 months now and every month its being postponed with no obvious reasons. The Fibre lies just 3 metres from my house, cant believe how useless this company.

I HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. Feeling sorry for people that have to deal with these liers.

Can Spark sort up the online purchasing process please? After I purchased an iPhone through the web site, I didn't even get a receipt of payment or any invoice in email. I had to call in 5 times to chase the order, the shipping, finally, the invoice.

Absolute disaster client experience!

The most incompetent customer service you could ever imagine. Spark says the refund will be in you bank 3-5 day…. No refund… No reply… Oh an email saying I don’t qualify for a refund. They did this 3 times, I’ve been emailing them for 6months. If you value your mental health avoid spark

Absolute joke Spark. This not really my style to go public. But I have had enough. I have been promised a refund for a faulty xbox controller three times. The first one broke and was replaced.the replacement was faulty almost out of the box. I was in touch almost 6 months ago. Since then I have gone round in circles. Messaged the refund going through in 3 to 5 days for the third time. Then nothing. So messaged again. Now being told because the replacement was free it not under warranty. Some crazy Spark law there. Spark have a read of the Consumers Act and pay what you have already acknowledged you owe on several occasions. Things must be tough at Spark if they can't afford $100.

Lowest rate for compulsory 1 month notice on a business postpaid account, and late payment fee. Absolutely avoid.

I changed to prepay after being a loyal customer for years. The plan I was on was great besides when I would use up my txts or minutes instead of caping my phone the bill would charge 20c per txt! Making my bill huge! And I couldn’t switch to prepay immediately I had to pay a contract fee! Or wait the monthly plan! I have changed to prepay as my budget only allows so much per month. So I once I changed to prepay I topped up my balance $20 and attempted to buy a the monthly rollover plan. No txts or calls were done and I my balance was $19.80! This would then now not let me buy the plan and required to top up my account a minimum of $10. I’m extremely disappointed with my service with spark for these reasons. I would change providers instantly if my residents received reception from other providers.

I would love to know if other customers think this is unfair? Or am I over reacting?
Not so fair service is my gut feeling.

I have been on the phone trying to get through to Spark for some help that cannot be done through the app or on the website... After 66 minutes still waiting... I think my battery will runout befoe they answer!

This review is in relation to Fibre Broadband service and is due to issues.

The internet stoped working, the internet appears to be getting to the Fibre box. The modem stopped working, after waiting for 1hr 2min on hold got through to a helpful operator who went through the ‘turn it off’ normal process and when that didn’t work arranged a new modem to be picked up from Spark Store.

Got back set it up and same problems. Here is where it starts going wrong. Spend 1hr 20min on hold to get through, nice enough operator who went through the ‘turn it off’ process then arranged a technician. No word from the technician but monitoring the fix tracking online he had labeled it as fixed. (Not even heard from anybody at this stage), completed resetting everything, still no internet. Here is where a called Spark again, 1hr 40min on hold, the get to somebody, but they weren’t talking. Said hello a few times and then they hung up. 1hr 40min for them to hung up. During this also using online chat function and getting no replies. Even used twitter to no avail. DM’d Spark and no replies.

To me it’s not that something went wrong but it’s the lack of communication when something does go wrong. Now knowing that Vodafone at least have a back up of 4g on their modems we will be considering switching tomorrow. That way if fibre cuts out we can still work, watch TV etc.also hopefully if something goes wrong, they might provide some communication, given they are literally a company the provides communication solutions.

I had an issue with my Internet in the past two days and when contacting them no one helped me to solve the issue they were just transferring me to different departments and each department is saying something else. Now I have spent 3 days without access to wifi that i will be paying for at the end of the month.
Highly not recommend
Only someone called Jack from the broadband team has helped

Needed to attend a meeting organized by an outside company. The front desk could not tell me anything about it. I found out what room it was in eventually and the desk told me where it was. But then they wouldn't let me in as I had to be escorted. They could not contact anyone to let me in without a name, which I didn't have. I showed them an email with a list of names, some of which he recognized. He still wouldn't call anyone to let me in. Eventually I left but kept trying to contact the person who invited me. Eventually he got someone to let me in. I've never found a front desk more useless

Wireless internet connection. 10-40Mbps they say. Enough to stream something they say. Well ours tests at about 2Mbps in the evening and it's getting worse. Useless, rip off.

Definitely worst customer support that exists out of any business in NZ. Why have a message button in the app and promote usage of the app to deal with customer service if its useless? 2weeks into my enquiry and im still dealing with a new customer service rep every 2 messages. Highly recommend signing up with vodafone/2degrees.

Impressive building.the foyer is a bit overwhelming and the sheer size is unnecessary. I wonder what the carbon footprint is to heat and power such a massive structure. Is this acting responsibily for our environment SPARK.

SPARK has disappointing support available. We have now tried THREE times to get internet and landline up and running again. We have been customers since forever and absolutely sub-standard support. Definite fail from my family.

Tried to sign up for $89 monthly mobile plan with $10 hotspot but website wouldn’t take my id. Gave up and just renewed my Vodafone prepaid plan. Spark doesn’t have any good prepaid plans right now.
