Spotlight Sylvia Park

I have patroned this spotlight Branch many times over the years, and they have consistently had a very large range of fabrics, craft items, and everything you need to fit and furnish ones home.

The only downside had been the consistent understaffing which, when I've need assistance, has frequently resulted in my wandering the store looking for staff only to generally find one who is not knowelable about the area I had been in. The level of service is generally slightly lackluster as staff always seem to be task focused rather than customer focused.

Huge queues.two amazing staff who were over worked but still courteous and friendly. An elusive manager (Naomi?) who despite being contacted at least three times to support a query failed to materialise. 3/4 of an hour before my faulty item could be processed. Finally left spotlight after 1.5 hours.my life will never be the same. But Mary at the material counter you are truly all about customer service. Thank you.

Whilst this place takes a piece of my soul everytime we visit, my wife and daughter absolutely LOVE IT!

Went looking for net curtains, artificial flowers & vases. 30% off the flowers & a decent range to choose from. Might have to go back! Yep I did a black white & cream version as well.

I come here to buy bedding. Egyptian cotton and 1000 thread count sheets at a good price. Curtains and fabric selection is also good.

Staff were not able to find what we were looking for even though web said it was in stock. Granted there is a lot of stuff in that shop.

Went to get some curtains. Very wide selection of colours and shades. Great, friendly and fast customer service representatives. I highly recommend Sylvia Park Spotlight.

I was a little confused as online stock varied quite a bit to what was in store, never the less I just LOVE shopping at Spotlight and managed to find all the stuff I needed.

Good place to find arts material, household stuff and much more. But normally difficult to find someone to help. They all look overworked. Curtain sizes I could not ever find.

On Friday I purchased a very nice cushion and matching throw. At the check out in conversation with the cashier “Emanuel “ I mentioned that I had wanted two matching cushions but could not find a second one. Emanuel checked the Stoke on line and found that there should have been Four cushions available, she proceeded to look through the huge assortment of cushions on display but could not find another. Emanuel took my details and said she would have another look when the store was not busy. To be honest, I didn’t think I would ever hear from her again. On Sunday I got a call from Emanuel to tell me that she had found a matching cushion and that she would put my name on it and leave it at the counter for collection. Finding a matching cushion would have entailed unpacking and repacking the huge floor to ceiling, wall width, four cushion deep display. Well done Emanuel, you certainly are a star employee.

Came into spotlight to get some material to upholster some cushions.

Staff offered to help work out how much material was needed to complete the cushions. I was sold waaaaaay too much material. After speaking with customer services they won't take back the 6+ metres of untouched upholstery and said it was my fault for not having the amount I needed before going into the store.

Very bad customer service which has cost a lot of money.

Usual stuff you need to get from Spotlight stores easy parking, but it's always a busy road because of sylvia park shopping centre. Lots of goods at reasonable prices.

Useless at answering the phones. Sylvia park one just keeps cutting me off and manukau one just never answered. Been trying for 2days!

For some reason, spotlight workers have no customer service at all. They're rude and just unhelpful.
Beginning from the so call security who stand by the door. Picks and chooses who to greet. The rest of the staff don't even ask if you need help and when you approach them they get mad because they're too busy talking to each other. Terrible experience every time I've come here

A great craft heaven with lots of great things, such a great range of products my only complaint is that a lot of currently stocked wool are made in china and a few in the US and some Aus wool manufactured in China. But I'm looking for quality NZ made wool thats so manufactured here and there's none: (Why is this? We're in NZ abundant in gorgeous wool yet you don't stock any local wool? Well that sux I'll buy my wool elsewhere. I'll give 5 stars if you stock more local products.

Very bad experience at the Sylvia park store.
Some staff members are very rude. When we asked for items and paying at the counter, specifically three ladies who seem to hate what they do, can't think of any other reason to be so rude at customers. We were at this store twice this week, both times these ladies' attitude were unacceptable. The company should train or explain their staff how to treat people, especially customers.

Disappointing, hopefully the other Spotlight stores have better customer service unlike Sylvia park, with staff who are more professional.

A great place if you like sewing, making crafts, and furnishing your house with cute stuffs. Often have specials, and when the product is on special, it's really have a very low price.

Apart from the busy hustle of traffic spotlight in mt Wellington has gifts galore or even if your looking for something for the house that's the place to be

Everything a crafty person could desire plus large range of linen and decor items very helpful staff well worth a visit take your time because if you cant get what you want you will definitely find something you want. Super easy parking at the door.

Spotlight is a must go shop for.
Curtains.
Kitchen stuff.
Bedding.
Birthday decoration.
Sofa set accesories and many other important things.
They can cut cloth sizes as per your needs.

Great staff and return policy.
Awesome deals through out the year, specially during Xmas, boxing day.
