I don't go to Spotlight a lot, but is quite a good store. Reasonable amount of things in there & layout to find things is good. I'm happy with what I got anyway. Parking there is quiteca reasonable amount out front & with having underground parking. I would go again.

Big fat spotlight. Thats all you need isnt it. Walk in looking for one thing, come out with 7.teen.amazing selection, easy to find what your looking for and if youre like me it'll give you all the inspiration you need for upcoming rainy days!?

Honestly, the service was lackluster. I was ignored by the first crafts attendant to help someone who got in the "line" after me. The second lady ignored me for a few minutes too before she started to cut my fabrics. Then an older woman came to the counter to ask for help with yarns and instead of waiting til my order was done she interrupted which the woman serving me went with an dropped my order to talk to her. I guess not being 50+ means I'm not a valued customer.

Counter lady were friendly at the check out point first time in two weeks ago, no issues. Second time went in, same counter lady was a bit rude and I was ignored by her while waiting. She saw me standing there waiting for her and no other customers at that time. A minute later, Instead of talking to me, she started serving others even I was waiting for her holding the products bought before (unused with full original package unopened). Then I tried to talk to her, she asked me to go to her other colleague with impatience and it seems I did something wrong. A bit disappointed. Other colleague was really nice to help with the exchange.

Dreadful. I just started sewing and asked for some advice. Neither of the women serving upstairs could be bothered. They were rude and unhelpful and seem to have no idea what customer service is all about. It was as if I was imposing on their time and I tried to keep a smile on my face in the hope they would warm up but no such luck Will shop elsewhere after this very unpleasant experience. I saw them treat other people the same way while I waited to be served.

Not clear where a disability entrance is
Antoinette. Not was I. The main parking area is very difficult for anyone who cannot walk without using a walking frame and there is nothing to indicate such a parking area. After almost falling over and struggling up the long ramp we realized there was an alternative parking area as the sign for alternative parking is not obvious

Not happy with the customer service at Spotlight. Albany was closest store and I checked website 1st (as some distance to drive) to check product was in stock. Website said it was, but not so. Albany not helpful.just said to drive to Wairau or Henderson! Phoned customer service and got disconnected, then on 2nd call got "put through to Wairau" but it was only a call centre which couldn't help! They said they would get Wairau to phone me.still waiting for that to happen

Ok range, some good deals but some also some very overpriced supplies. Store is quite disordered and run down. Apart from one young staff member the rest of the staff were unhelpful and even unpleasant:/

Dragged in by the trouble and strife, amazing variety of household items, prices appear very reasonably too.

It's OK. Would appreciate more products being priced rather than having to take a pile of things to the machine to be priced, anyone want to carry 7 door mats to the machine to be priced because only one doormat was priced? And some are on special but no idea which ones.

Today I was served by Erica, and purchased an Elna sewing machine.

Watch the prices and discounts as you go through the check out, because they always seem to overcharge or omit items from discounts, even though they're not excluded.

I checked their website for a particular sort of blinds and it said 'out of stock (Albany) ' and 'in stock (Glenfield) '. So I drove all the way to Glenfield just to find out that in fact they weren't in stock. The sales assistant just laughed it off saying that the website is not accurate. If you run an online catalogue you should at least keep it up to date!

We called into Spotlight Wairau Park looking at the Cricut range of products. The shop was quite busy but one of the ladies that we approached indicated which staff member was the one to speak to about the machines. Joy was absolutely amazing and shared all her knowledge freely and answered all our questions fully. Needless to say we bought a machine and some accessories to get us going and shared in our excitement of our purchase. If only all shop assistants were this helpful. We were down from "Up North" and will definitely call in to this shop for the outstanding service and all the crafty goodies they had in their well stocked shop.

Lift was a great asset for someone (me) with no knees. Great staff upstsirs in the wool area! Good variety of wools

My mum asked Theresa (?) if she could ask her a quick question to which she responded yes. We were wondering where one of the display/sample curtains were as the packaged ones weren’t anywhere near the display. Theresa said “There will be other ladies that can help you, I thought you said it was going to be a quick question, ”. Very unhelpful and lazy considering she is in a customer service role.

Great store, has most things that I was looking for. Appeared to be clean and tidy. Staff were present and amiable.

Only went there for wool. Amazing range to select from. Have a huge selection of materials, patterns etc as well as other house hold items, such as bed linen, towels and pillows. Really good prices.
