Stamford Plaza Auckland

Great hotel with exceptional location. Fitness center and swimming pool at top level have amazing city view. At the moment, there is construction work to build a tunnel.

Excellent location! Well appointed modern rooms with comfy beds and large bathroom. Service has also been very good. An excellent hotel for the business traveller.

Our social club has been using The Stamford as a meeting place for several months. The quality of service is deteriorating with every meeting.
Today we had to ask for water, cups of tea were only half full. A pot of tea on a cold winters day would have been lovely. Our pizza was cold. We flagged down the manager so we could order a bottle of wine. No one came.

Great value, room was clean and well appointed, bar downstairs was friendly. Breakfast meeting with client went very well as it was quiet with a good selection of food. Great place to do business.

Bad Noice isolations between the rooms. You can allmost hear everything going on, rooms next to yours. Other than the noice, everything is perfekt! Good breakfast!

One of Auckland's best hotels located close to downtown and the Viaduct which has plenty of bars restaurants. In house restaurants are great too.

Nice hotel when you can get it cheap on special, wouldn't pay more than $250 a night for it though, a little older and showing it's age however the rooms are a good size

I found this place to be very central for transport both bus and train. Easy walk to shops, good size room very clean, friendly staff, having restaurants on site and close by spoilt for choice easy walk to the Auckland waterfront I stayed here for 3 night and really enjoyed it thanks.

The roadworks went well into the night. We were eventually moved to the other side of the building at midnight, but they shouldn't be putting anyone on that side, especially midweek when it is empty. The rooms were comfy and everything was clean

Great location, wonderful staff and lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Access to both the lovely spa and pool could be problematic for some people. Pool ladder steep and narrow. Spa steps very steep and only one railing for support. Pool underwent maintenance and not operating for 3 days of stay- disappointing. Great Thai restaurant and okay hotel restaurants. Reception is adjacent to bar/restaurant area. These areas can be very noisy making it very difficult to hear reception staff at peak times. Staff very helpful with any issues.

Thank you for an amazing stay. All of the staff were so lovely and accomodating, the food and room were great - we never wanted to leave. Will be back for sure!

Rooms are a decent size and the staff are great. They were really accommodating and made our anniversary celebrations all the better. The buffet breakfast is also one of the better ones that I've had.

Sehr schönes Stadthotel, alles sehr gut und einfach zu erreichen, Zimmer sehr ruhig, Frühstücks Buffet sehr gut, Personal sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Für Auckland ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Lovely place, spent three nights there, friendly staff, great facilities including pool, sauna and fitness roome. The room was great and tidy, the hotel is located central in Auckland and I'd recommend it to anyone staying in the city, oversll, GREAT place.

Impeccable service! The staff made the stay. The rooms were a bit tired, the bathroom had a weird smell and the TV service kept dropping out but the staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful.
Good location but parking expensive.

Booked this lovely hotel in a great location. What was not mentioned was there is major roadworks going on and we have been put on that side of the hotel. First time Stamford experience.not that great. Staff are friendly.

*edit - reply - hotel and whole holiday was booked through travel agent who clearly wasn't informed.

Love this place. Always clean and tidy and close to shopping, casino etc.bit annoying with the current road works on Albert street.

Stayed here for 4 days and the service was amazing. They made sure that my every need was taken care of. I was quite surprised by how they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a great one. The pool and spa facilities are definitely a must when you stay at Stamford. Would love to come back!

Was really disappointed with our stay. Had to move rooms due to broken tv, no staff helped us move and the bed was really uncomfortable in the new room and when we told reception they said "all the beds are like that". Ordered cutlery to our room which never arrived. Really disappointed as when we checked out staff didn't ask us how our stay was. Didn't want to post publicly but we filled out the satisfaction survey email they sent us and no one has bothered to follow up on. Absolutely not a 5 star experience.

Pool area and breakfast buffet are amazing however - I just wish the hotel staff cared more about their customers to make the stay as good as it cost.
