Stamford Plaza Auckland

Nice looking hotel. Went to Grasshopper Thai restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Food came quickly. The fish cakes are a particular highlight. Jasmine rice was also top notch.

Room for improvement. The breakfast offering was sub par for what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Also, there were some strange issues with the bathroom:
1) the shower water temperature varied fairly significantly
2) the toilet seat refused to stay up

Small items but aggravating none the less.

On a good note, most of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating, although I would have better bartenders in my establishment.

Overall, good location (at least it will be when they finish the construction) and worth staying at if you can get a fair rate.

Great hotel! Rooms are clean and spacious, necessary amenities are provided, and great service as well.

Attended a wedding reception, service was great and accommodating, staff led by Laura were very helpful

The executive rooms were spacious and wonderful (especially the great bed and bathroom), the 10th floor pool and spa were very good, the service was good, and the breakfast buffet was average. An enjoyable stay.

We stay here whenever we visit Auckland. Centrally located and well managed. Great pool and gym. You can’t beat it.

Came for the Fawlty Towers Dinner show was excellent and service from staff very attentive. My allergies where well taken care of.and taken the piss out of in the show to. I must say that the food although nice it was just that a nice 3 course meal, that could of been done at home. Did expect and have had much better from Stamford however show kept the rating high.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were a reasonable size, clean, and stylish. The bed was super comfy and blinds blocked out light effectively - had the best sleep I have had in ages! Bathrooms were very nice too

Really enjoyed the Wizardry High Tea at Stamford plaza. I think they made a good effort with decorations etc. Looking forward to the next one!

Great room, awesome staff. Nice pool and gym. Great location!
The only let down was the toilet seat had to be held up while you sit on the loo, otherwise it hits your back. There is also no extractor fan in the toilet.
Sky TV didn't include movies and the prepaid movie options weren't amazing. But other than that, a really nice comfortable bed and plenty of room with a view.

This old girl has quite a rustic charm. Brings you back in to memory lane which is always a good thing. She could certainly do with à bit of an upgrade.

Absolutely great hotel and staff, only 1 disappointment I ordered room service for 2 full breakfasts in the morning and nothing arrived. Checked out on an empty stomach. Still I love this hotel and will return.

Really nice experience to enjoy with friends at Kabuki restaurant I can't judge Japanese food because I'm not from Japan but it was very good and fresh for me

It's a great hotel, conveniently located, but I did find the service on the slow side, noticeably when checking in and the concierge desk

Room package was not organized on time. We had to vacate the room for staff to set things up late in the evening. Food was great and general staff were helpful.

Visited the hotel lounge as my acquaintance was a guest there. The lounge music was quite loud despite being in the evening, though when we got to the upper floors, it was much quiet.

Flawless. In every single way.but particularly the bed.like sleeping on clouds! Special thanks to Martin for sorting out a top floor room.
