Hello we highly recommend Street Smart to manage your rental properties. They have a lot of "know how' behind them and are street-wise too.living up to their name! Of late, Terry is our property manager and he is on the ball! Not only does he respond efficiently; but he is professional and friendly at the same time. In fact he is actually quite funny.and I enjoy our emails and quick chats too! The tenants we have respond well to him! He has a lovely manner and is an asset to both tenants and landlords. A good find Jared!

I have been with street smart for about 2 years now and have found this company just great. Everything is done for me just like a property management company should be. Apoorva Gupta and Jamie Ong are the two people I deal/dealt with and both are/were fantastic. They always goes the extra mile and I fully trust leaving my property in their hands to manage on behalf on me. I highly recommend both these two agents and street smart.

Property manager mentioned they would be late to the viewing. I waited an extra 10 minutes but property manager did not show up. Clearly lacks professionalism.

I was on rental property for almost 5 years managed by Street smart on DInglebank road, Mount Wellington. I dealt with Apoorva and Jamie Ong. Both were very professional, humble, honest and friendly throughout the duration. My experience was very positive from applying from tenancy to getting the refund. Thank you StreetSmart.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

My partner and I were tennants in a property managed by Street Smart and it was a cycle of very poor communication, lack of organisation and dodgy documents. We moved out over 6 weeks ago (on a weeks notice) they lost any paperwork of the two of us existing in that flat so we are not even on the tennancy yet were up to date on all payments, paid bond in advance and they have delayed my bond payment through lack of processing yet when confronted I was met with outrage that I question why the payment had been taking so long.

Completely unprofessional and the lack of ability to perform their job has put me and my partner further into financial hardship during an epidemic.

If you are looking to live in Auckland please learn from our misstake and find someone else!

I've been very fortunate to find Street Smart to manage my properties! My interface is Layla and she has been very professional to work with and I've had good feedback from the tenants too about their interactions. I highly recommend Street Smart if you're looking for pro's to look after your property investments.

I am a landlord and had been with them for two years. I would NOT recommend their services. Please be very vigilant with their accounting and rent deposits. We have had lot of payment irregularities and incorrect invoicing. Very unprofessional team and very poor service to both tenants and landlord. Don't risk your investment with them.

Streetsmart agency looked after us for 18 months. The service was always courteous and efficient. Issues were addressed immediately and communications were instant. Thumbs up Streetsmart

My property manager in Street Smart is Jamie. She is very good in communication between tenants and me as a landlord. She is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. She always keeps me up to date if there is any issue with my properties along with good suggestions. I feel lucky to have her as my property manager. She is definitely an asset in Street Smart. Highly recommend!

We use to manage our own place and had issues with our tenant. Soon as we gave it to street smart it was the best decision we have ever made. We did not once have any more phone calls from the tenant.
To top it off our tenant just handed in their notice before Xmas so Streetsmart listed the property and on the same day they got it rented.
Best Xmas gift ever.

Initially, I tried to manage my rental by myself. However when my first tenant left I struggled to keep up with all the tenancy requests that came through via TradeMe.

I then reached out to Street Smart. The team there were really helpful & communicated extremely well with me. They kept me in the loop with any change in tenants, work that needed to be done on the property and any requests from the tenant themselves. Their statements provide me with all the information I need to know what is going on with my property.

Handing my property over to Street Smart was the best decision I have made in regards to my rental property. It has allowed me to focus on other key things in my life.

I know I can rely on the team at Street Smart and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to my friends and family.

Although shaky at the start, due to the old manager being unknown the the properties condition. The intake of a new manager of the property made it a whole lot easier for what we wanted to achieve. She worked effectively with us and even helped us leave early AND help us find properties for next year. So all and all, our current manager has made the time with street smart a lot better.

Highly recommend this company I have been with them for a few years now and they are very professional. They have always been able to promptly deal with any issues and have a great price point on maintenence needs. Street smart take the hassle out of owning an investment property. 10/10 in my books.

We were tenants at a Street Smart property, and everything went smoothly - until we moved out.

We gave them 38 days notice of our vacating the property and ending our lease (legally you need to give 21 days).

A few days after we moved out, without any correspondence, they submitted an application to the Tenancy Tribunal saying we ‘abandoned the property’ and sent us multiple harassing emails telling us we would have to pay three weeks rent as we had not given proper notice. They also refused to return our bond.

We were three students barely scraping by with minimal experience dealing with landlords/property managers. As expected, this incident caused a huge amount of stress in our lives.

Luckily, I am in the early stages of law school and knew enough to get them to back off until we got legal advice. Unsurprisingly, we had fulfilled our full legal requirements.

When we notified them of this, they backed off - not because they were in the wrong, not with an extensive apology due to the stress they had placed on us but because they had ‘minimised loss to the owner’ by finding a new tenant immediately.

This was the straw that broke the camels back that propelled me to leave this review. There was no admittance of fault on their side. It’s clear they have no concern for the wellbeing of their tenants, or even for proper attention to the law.

I have been using Street Smart since 2013 and have never looked back. Jared and Jean have been awesome to work with. Very attentive to detail and best of all reachable whenever I have need of their help (even on weekends and after hours!). What I especially love is that its a 1-stop service.not just property management.they have excellent trades people in their team that keeps the property in tip top shape, extra services like fire alarms installs and maintenance, landlord insurance, expert letting agents etc. Highly recommended.
