Very very expensive. I don’t know why?

The lady who was in charge of pur table was very lovely. But other staff were very unfriendly.
The food is ok and the portion is alright but the price is very very expensive.
I had a normal rice dish with mixed chicken and pork, I paid around 35$. Considering the quality and the service it should have been maybe 18$.

Orderd sweet and sour pork, barely any pork just greasy hard batter, god knows how old the meat and batter was as it didn’t taste fresh, I wasn’t even sure what i was eating to be honest. $18 for this and definitely not worth it. God i wish these kind of places delivered fresher and more quality food

Love grabbing yum cha here. The flavours are authentic, the portion size to price ratio is decent (for Newmarket) and the service is often really efficient. Usually a wait if you try to walk in during peak lunch hours on a weekend so do recommend calling ahead to make a booking where possible especially if it’s more than 2-4 people. If you are eating during peak hours, expect a bit of a wait as the trolleys make their rounds. Sometimes it’ll be emptied before it even reaches you because there’s so many people eating at the same time.

They did not disappoint me & family on our first visit.very polite to guide us on menu & all selection was just yum yum yummiest.

Not that good after the restaurant changed hands. Service is not what it used to be. I had a reservation at 1 hot told I had to wait like everyone else.

Good yum cha place. Service is a bit hit and miss. Food quality is consistent. Friday lunch is usually quite busy. You can easily get a table on weekdays. Booking recommended for large team 8 people or more.

This place has lots of seafood and it has good service. The staff here were really thoughtful and nice. The food was also really good. It has a very large space too.

One of the better (both in price and taste) in the area. Don't normally book unless coming with a large group. Offers the standard yum cha items like siu mai and BBQ pork buns, as well as more unique ones like stir fried clams.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurant in Newmarket. If you're looking for great dumplings and dimsum dishes, you should go there at lunch time. Menu for the evening is a la carte

Food, average. Serive, average. They charge tea per head and that includes small babe who is obviously too young to have any tea

Used to be one of my favourite yum char restaurant in Auckland. Haven't been here for awhile, sadly the food standards and portions has dropped off. Im guessing they must have changed ownership.

Sun World Chinese has become our favorite yum char work lunch spot for its delicious offerings, prompt service and satisfaction guarantee every visit.

We’ve been dining toward the end of service so rather than waiting for carts to come around, we order up front and get everything freshly made and piping hot. I adore the coriander dumplings and pork shumai. Delicious every time!

Everything is luke warm or cold, something is extremely hot seems like over microwave. Service I'mstaffs longare extremely lazy, when ask for some soy sauce just replied NO!

Sun World Chinese Restaurand serve DimSum menu like Baked BBQ Pork Bun, Steam Taro Cake, Steamed Spinach Dumpling, congie and a lot other food. The price of each dish is about NZD 5 to 7. The taste is nice. Ofcourse people can't miss a pot of Chinese tea. I went to this restaurants dozen times. Love the yum char or even dinner. Fresh, good cook, yummy taste. Proper Chinese food in Auckland. Quality dishes. Menu is good, they will have most of the food you wanted. Staff are nice and fast. Food come in real hot and freshly made.

The place was busy which I found surprising by the time I had finished there. We waited maybe 5 to 10 minutes maximum before being seated as a group of five. The food was ok but the service ruined the entire experience. We called one person and asked for more tea because we were out, and the first person said they would bring some but then a few minutes later we saw them serving tea to someone else and they never returned. We asked a second person and he walked straight to the tea, picked some up, looked at us and then out it down and started to walk towards us but instead made a sharp turn and retreated backwards to the bathroom before never coming back to us. Our dishes were piling up even though the person with the dish trolley had passed us several times and looked at our table. It was my first and last time there.

Very good yum cha, good service, only thing was a couple of dishes were cold otherwise would have been a 5*. Will definitely be going back though.

I have read good reviews about this place and I agree that the food is actually good. There’s a short wait which is fine considering it’s Sunday 12 noon. Service is quick and within minutes our table is full of food.

I did notice though that there was hair in the beef balls. I called the attention of the staff who called someone else to check. She said sorry and cancelled the order so we don’t pay for it, then left as if nothing happened. I didn’t feel there was genuine remorse for it.

Good yum char restaurant. Authentic. Crowded most of the time during meal times. Would recommend to anyone.

Dirty restaurant, everything is sticky and grim, shame the new owners let it slip since they bought it. I asked for a clean glass to get some cold tap water. I got given a glass that wasn't even rinsed, still covered in dish washing liquid. This restaurant is on its last legs!
