This place is no longer Taiko. The food is alight but small in portion size. It's a nice enough place if you're just looking for a drink and a few bites.
Wagyu takaki, probably the best cut of my life. Great service and umeshu. Decor might be a little outdated compared to fancy places but still has great vibes and charm.
Really tasty food! On the night we were there, there was a bit of a wait at times as they were quite busy, and they lost part of our order but the wait staff were super friendly and nice.
Good atmosphere, great food and service; exactly what you'd be looking for in Japanese cuisine.
The best place for food in Auckland by miles. If you love Japanese cuisine your heart will stop when you see the vast array and simple dishes served with excellence presentation.
Everything from mouth watering food to thirst quenching sake or ginger liquors.
Great service and highly recommend to any visitors or locals.

Awesome spot, consistently great food! A great local restaurant, always friendly and the owner is always working the tables which I think is testiment to their service!
