What to complain? Quick and easy process. I live far from this but will definitely be back.

The worker there is not professional, and provided the incorrect information. They don’t care about aucklander at all, only want money.
We just dropped off 4kg cardboard, and one pre-paid bag rabbish. Both of them supposed to be free of charge, however we put them together now, they charge us $10. Just poor system, poor management.
Unless you have a trailer or rubbish, otherwise don’t brother.

Long waits to get in and out. (15-20min!)

Shop closes at 3: 30, but this isn't indicated anywhere.

The service is ok but this is your classic monopoly and very expensive. $90 to dump a bed and a few pallets wow. Its a huge moneymaker for the council with the income from the waste like aluminium and steel on sold. They dont have to charge so much but they still fleece ratepayers. No wonder they dont allow any competition

We have been going to the recycling centre for over 4 years now. This used to be one place we used to love visiting, but the new management has made sure that everything is priced at ridiculous prices, sometimes even more than what a new product would cost. When pointed out, the staff were extremely rude and unfriendly. Not the kind of behaviour you would expect. Very bad and unaccepted behaviour.

It's a pity many retail shops aren't as friendly and helpful as these guys and the lady at the weigh bridge. A fun mornings work.

Don’t be intimidated if there’s a line, it goes quickly, and then you’ve got a front row seat to ground zero of waste. The team are super friendly and help you figure out where to go. The emphasis on making landfill the last resort really makes sense when you see the volume of waste coming through. Make sure you hit up the Tipping Point charity shop too. You won’t leave empty-handed.

Don’t bother taking anything into the shop unless you have a massive trailer load.
I took an item to them and got 20kg off and I only had two small containers, a play mat and some plastic. They told me all of that came to 40kg and I still had to pay the 20kg after the discount. All of my items only came to 7kg and that’s being generous.

I've brought some really good stuff here! Always getting a bargain just have to know the days when everything comes in & get in fast! Stuff that if I had brought instore would have costed me a couple hundred only for the price of $20 most times, not brand new but with a good clean up good as new. The staff here are always very helpful and lovely to talk to, good old chats from the boss always lovely to see the team with a smile on their faces rain or shine. Never miss a opportunity to come here and bringing whanau to come have a look too

Was there on a Monday at about 2 or a bit after, no queue in and out and spent 3 quarters of an hour or less there

So happy to get rid of 30+ years of old paint tins, complete with old paint. Other than the long queue of cars waiting to get in (although it did move steadily and didn't take too long) it was all relatively painless. Friendly service both entering and exiting the facility, and assistance directing us where everything went once inside. Thank you!

December 31st website says open until 5pm. Arrived at 4.45, closed for receiving. I get that not a problem. Talked to the lady she said cime back tomorrow open until 4pm. I said New years day she said yes. I arrived on new years day after checking on the website which said open I arrived at 12.30 and closed. It is now 2.17 and the website still says open. That is very unprofessional.

Another customer was helpful thank you to the customer.
Cashier lovely and cheerful.
Shame one grump can spoil the visit.

I had a great experience at the dump today. It was a real hotspot as people were out in force getting rid of all kinds of rubbish.

There is a great one way system for ensuring good traffic flow. My friend Jimmy and I went around the one-way system 3 times, firstly to dispose of an old tree house we had demolished, then the second time some cement (this goes to a different area of the dump), and then on the third lap, we swung by the dump store aptly named ‘Tipping Point’. I was looking for a computer monitor and Jimmy was just having a general peruse. He had a bit of a jam on one of the acoustic guitars that was there, and on sale for $30.

There is a really great taco place nearby! But, it was closed today because it’s closed on tuesdays.
Jimmy and I have vowed never to return to the dump on a Tuesday!

That is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

Adrian at the kiosk was pretty personable, and certainly felt a lot friendlier than the waitress where we went and ate dumplings (coincidence!) afterwards.
A great day

What a dump! I like to start with a joke! I hear that can draw people into the review.

In all seriousness, it was a great dump. If I didn’t have the inorganic collection booked in I would have totally dumped more, but I just added a few empty cardboard boxes to my friends trailer load. We had hired a caged trailer from Mobil earlier in the day, because last week we ripped down a tree house at my friends house, so we had a lot of timber to dump. Let me say this, bringing down that tree house has really opened up the front yard of my friends house, so getting rid of the lumber was really a great result all round. Those empty boxes I was telling you about were from some recent delivery’s from a baby registry, (my partner and I are having a baby any day now!) we had received a few big ticket items and my recycling bin is already full of cardboard (recycling isn’t collected until next week!)

Helpful courtesy brooms were available for use (free of charge), which we used to sweep out the caged trailer which we had hired from Mobil.

Can’t wait to dump again.
