Zest Cafe reviews
67The service and food is of top quality at Zest Cafe, that's why I continue to choose this cafe as my 1st choice in Gisborne.
The service was faster than McDonald's and the food is excellent. Without a doubt, highly recommended!
Got Bacon and Eggs. Cost me $18. HOLY MOLY. What a COLOSSAL RIP OFF. Their takeaway box was the size of a Big Mac container. Just with two pieces of brown toast.a bit of scrambled eggs and 2 streaks of bacon. Do yourself a favour and go to SNACKISFACTION. I'm skinny btw and this meal was as pathetic as an entree.
Cost me $39 for large flat white, eggs Benedict with salmon and bacon. So, eggs Benedict with just salmon was $25.1 large flat white 5.50. I asked for bacon to be added that cost $8.50 = $39.00.
Is that a good price?
I felt it was a little steep for breakfast. It took 10 minutes for my coffee to be served to me. Cafe was not packed.
Staff were nice though.
May revisit?
Lovely atmosphere. The menu had a good selection to choose from including the cabinet. It was Waitangi day so quite busy but only waited 20 minutes. Enjoyed our meal scrambled eggs bacon on 2 slices wholegrain with cappa & latte. Would go again
Had brunch here on Sunday. Great fast and friendly service. Coffees and meals came out quickly even though it was busy. Bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly.
Understand it was busy, we were told it would be an hour wait, but we waited 2 hours for food before anyone came to ask if we were alright or to even give us an update, staff were packing up around us while we still didn’t have our food. Once food was delivered there was no apology for the wait. Food was ordered at the same time but all came out at different times.
Wow what a great ambience and friendly customer service, we been there for our breakfast order egg Benedict perfect 10/10. Very beautiful presentation. Highly recommended. Thank you Zest cafe for the great breakfast and great start of the year
Over half hour wait for food not even bussy with no1 to make a coffee people we’re not happy in there poor service
Best place we found for breakfast in Gisborne. We kept going back there each morning during our stay in Gisborne.
Excellent food! Great menu, well executed. Ambiance ok. I would go back tomorrow. Thoroughly recommended
Had breakfast this morning. Great hearty vegan option. Service was outstanding and it had a great atmosphere. Well done Team Zest!
$23 for an Omelet which doesn't come with a toast. If you wanta slice of a Toast thats $5 extra. Are you serious? Worst place in gisborne to eat. Plenty of other cafes around and other options. I highly recommend that people avoid this place. The attitude of the staff is another issue. Yes I had my wife and friends who had coffee from othet outletas yours wast opened. Didnt know it eas crime in New Zealand. Is that an excuse for $23 Omelet without totast or slice of bread? Zest is best in gisborne really reallly.for ripping people off. Most expensive Omelet in nz! I wonder where on earth you order an Omelet and you get jast an Omelet without toast or slice of bread.
Good food, and good breakfast selection. We had pan cakes and eggs Benedict. Was tasty but lacked sauce was a bit dry, berry couli was an odd combo to go with bacon and banana, more maple sauce would have done the trick…
Lovely coffee and friendly staff. Breakfast wasn’t very nice though and a bit cold. Quite expensive.
Had good service and the food was nice. Let down by terrible comment from worker or owner to people beside us. Could have been done so much nicer.
Our usual go to place when we are working in Gisborne and want to go out for breakfast. Food and coffee are great, and staff are friendly.
The owner, Dave? He’s a great host and always makes an effort to say hi.
Way better than the cafe near to the beach ️ x1000000 times! Great service, good lovely food, clean toilet and mostly important big portions (reasonable price). I will come back again.
Good customer service and nice food too! The menu is not too large which means high turnovers and fresher food! Good coffee! The best Cafe in Gisborne! I will be back again!
