Eastend Cafe & Bar reviews
42 I have coeliac disease and never find anything gluten free to take away that is both unique and delicious.anywhere.
I stopped in briefly on our way South from Gisborne and found your curried cauli tart. I enjoyed it immensly!
Not only was it yummy, the GF pastry was beautiful and the pepitas on top finished it off.
Congrats and regards,
Lesley from Tassie, Australia
Awesome food and great staff. Well worth calling in for lunch. Very clever tile artwork in the entrance.
I go out of my way to stop here on my trips. Love the poached eggs breakfast with their very well made coffee.
Had lovely eggs Benedict with salmon (Montreal) and a cappuccino - very happy)
Nice Hollondaise, perfectly poached eggs, yummy ciabatta and good smoked salmon.
Very friendly and welcoming staff!
The only place in Wairoa that consistently serves excellent Havana coffee and high quality cafe food. I love it! Parking right outside, WiFi, everything I have ever eaten there is delicious, and I go there every time I am in Wairoa. Sandwiches, breakfast, scones, cake. Try them all
Great coffee, and what can only be described as hands down the yummiest walnut and carrot muffin, fluffy but dense but moist and full of flavour, with, if it's possible, even yummier cream cheese frosting. Thanks:)
Eastend Cafe is our favourite by far in our town. I am there at least 3 times a week and the service is always fantastic
I kid you not. I had the best coffee here that I've had on this trip to NZ. Hate to say it, better than Oz. Staff great. Service super fast. Food delish. I could go on, but gotta find a pub somewhere in Gisborne.
Excellent stop off lunch. High quality and character, very good coffee and omelettes. Beside the river.
Super cafe with loads of choices and GF and V options. Was busy but the staff looked relaxed and under control. Very friendly staff and customers. Recommended stop when driving through town.
The eggs Benedict I had here are probably the best I’ve had in my life. The coffee is great The service is wonderful and the food is fantastic
I would travel to Wairoa just to eat here
We walked the length of the main street and found that Wairoa has left the best till last!
From the quirky cutlery pressed into the floor at the entrance, to the delicious looking food in the cabinet, and the friendly smiles from the staff serving, we were made to feel very welcome here.
We were lucky that on such a warm day for winter we were able to get one of the outside tables and enjoyed two great flat whites, a slice and a melt. All were excellent, and were served with minimal delay.
Excellent toilets at the back if, like me, you need to make room for that coffee!
As always when we have stopped for lunch the service and food was great. Love their homemade pies. Can't seem to go past them.
Fast friendly service, lovely cakes in a delightful setting. Really liked this place. Worth stopping for.
My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch today. We had perfect poached eggs and yummy avocado. Great service from lovely staff
Review from Miss 8 and Master 7. "These are the best pancakes I've ever tasted! Even better than McDonald's! " (That's a rare review right there!)
"My hot chocolate was just right" - (chanelling their inner Goldilocks)
Friendly service, love how our waitress addressed my grandchildren like custumers instead of ignoring them (some servers forget children). Food was scrumptious and if we ever pass through Wairoa we will definitely be calling in again. Perfect.
Very friendly staff although we're in level 3 we manage to order a couple of coffees. Its beautiful cafe, its worth a stop over if you happen to drive through Wairoa township
Delicious Bacon and Egg with Holandaise dressing in a Croissant with Cheesecake and an Americano coffee. Highly recommended for anything out of the display.
Would defo visit again.
Nice cafe in Wairoa. Possibly the best one. Very busy. We ordered cappuccino and flat white plus a chocolate raspberry brownie. It was really good. Standard price. The lady at the counter could be a bit more friendly but I understand everyone was quite busy and she's trying to get the order quickly. Beautiful spot by the river. Recommended!
