Eastend Cafe & Bar reviews
42Great that this cafe was open for a late lunch because there certainly isn't much choice in Wairoa. Good food, delightful decor and setting.
Best cafe in Wairoa! Menu different each day, selection of organic juices, seasonal food, gf options, friendly enough staff, always busy there! Wairoa is lucky to have it.
My partner and I rolled up after the kitchen had closed. The lovely staff made us a special vegan bowl because the counter food wasn't vegan, and it was incredible!
The Eastend Cafe is a firm favourite with the locals. The food is delicious, fresh, healthy and interesting. The decor is a little quirky, look for the spoons in the entrance floor! This is a great place for lunch with friends or just on your own. It's a really friendly atmosphere. They do takeaways as well so even if it's really busy or you don't have much time, you can still get your Eastend Cafe "fix"!
We arrived hungry and they were able to make at least a couple of things from the menu vegan. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Had a delicious vegan mushroom hash and a really good soy flat white. Recommended!
Meals are always amazing, menu changes seasonal, service is always on point. Coffees great! A busy little gem on the main street.
Looked like it might be good but service was so slow- well for us who were not locals - we waited 20 min for bacon & eggs and gave up when 2 lots of locals came in after us and were served - and no it was not just counter food. Then the cook - can't say chef - laughed and thought it funny when we just wanted the money back.
Very very disappointing.
Food was excellent, service was rubbish. They Incorrectly took our order and made us wait 45 minutes with 3 children under 5 before realising even though we mentioned twice we were waiting for pancakes. No apology was given. Orange juice was a rip off it was mainly ice. Left feeling angry and stressed and my partner hungry. Wouldn't go again.
Always a great place to meet with whanau and friends. Great food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic service.
The best cafe in Wairoa, good service, nice people, very good coffee. Very busy at lunch time, but definitely worth waiting.
Seriously good coffee. Busy local cafe, seemed to be many local clients which is always a good indicator, indoor and outdoor seating. Check out the display of cutlery embedded in the entry walkway, some one had a clever idea, we enjoyed it here
Excellent range of delicious food from healthy to one off treats. Cozy and friendly. A diamond in the rough
Good coffee, tasty food, lovely decor, nice location. Only sad bit - cars outside block view of river.
Unexpected delight. Good wine and a superb hot chicken salad made this lunchtime find really special.
What a fabulous gem! Food was unequalled! Good serving size - meet and had a chat with local man Richie - great plan e to stop! Coffee was excellent
Great coffee and friendly staff. Good range of delicious food too. Good to see gluten free and vegan options. We loved our Kumara hash brown lunch
They serve health food and sit down meals I drop in there on my way to work and have bacon eggs chips toast and milk shake before going to work.
Second time I've been here, arguably the best cafe in town, funky interior, great food and on to it staff. This is where you want to have lunch.
Amazing place with the best omelettes, pancakes, and homemade cakes! Came back on our return from Waikaremoana, because it was so good. Wish I could come here every weekend!
Prices are very resonable: Omelette $16, pancakes $17, cappuccino $4.5, slice of cake $5.5.
Ran out of most food options by 1: 15 pm which is ok but the woman behind the counter was quite short in her approach telling me this. The woman who brought my food out was lovely though. From the reviews it seems like it’s usually a great spot so maybe the woman behind the counter was having an off day. Food was average.
