Kilim Cafe Napier

Come HERE if you are sick of the same old low-effort Turkish places. These guys offer up incredible, authentic dishes and service with a smile.
Apologies for the most un-aesthetic picture I could take but I couldn’t wait to dig in. I went the spicy cevapi (I’m told is pronounced che-vapi!) and dreamy creamy halloumi bites (highly recommended). They even obliged me with some extra chillies which left me sweating…yum all round!

The chicken kebab was absolutely delicious! Credit to the chef as it was cooked just right! Courtyard is definitely a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving a delightful dining experience. The cozy atmosphere really added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I will definitely visit again!

Not real Mediterranean food anymore. Very average kebab but maybe I just ordered wrong thing as others seem very happy.

Booked for dinner arrived a few minutes early and were seated.
Another table arrived 10 minutes after us and had their drinks and orders taken.
We still waited
After a little we walked out and found a great restaurant where we spent good money and recieved great service drinks and food.
To be fair only 1 young lady waitressing all tables
I suggest owners need to learn what hospitality actually is as you could make more money servicing clients.

Ate here while on holiday. There are no middle-eastern restaurants where I live and have really missed this style of food. Eating at Kilim was an absolute delight. Had a light lunch and full meal. So fresh and tasty. Turkish coffee and delicious baclawa to finish, what a treat!

Phone orders are usually made up within 10-15mins ready for me to pick up. Pretty consistent quality food from my experience.

I paid for extra hommus and got NONE AT ALL I guess they'd run out.
NEXT DAY: my husband told them AND they had run out so today he got LOTS of complimentary hommus. Yum, thank you x

I've been there twice. Once with the family and we had Iskender plates. This is a very filling meal. The next day I dropped in for a gozleme lunch. It was also yummy.

Great place with nice ambience. Proper freshly cooked Turkish food. Quite a few vegetarian and vegan options. Staff are super friendly and nice.

Order my meal with 3 X sauces, satay, chili and humus, the meal came with mayonaise on top of cooked/hot protein which was disgusting and made me feel quite sick with every mouthful and tomato sauce, none of the 3 that i had ordered

Good range of Turkish food. The dessert sampler plate was good value. Booking a table recommenced as it gets busy, maybe because of the limited days it is open.

Awesome team and owners, delicious authentic food and reasonable prices all in a lovely setting. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend Kilim specially for families.

If you are in Napier and after Mediterranean food this is the place to be! Amazing food and Service. Owner Yusuf takes pride on his food and it clearly shows!

Exellent resturant, this was actually the first turkish restaurant that we have been to and everything about the resturant was amazing. The food were super cheap, there were large quantities of each dish and we have never ever tasted lamb as tender as the ones in this restaurant. I give this resturant 5 stars as it deserves and I recommend it to everyone.

We stayed in Napier for 2 nights and ate here on the first. We had to come back on the second night too!
The portions are a good size, the food is unique and not something you find just anywhere. The Baklava was fantastic. Even though they were super busy both nights, they told us that there would be a longer wait, which we were happy with and the food came out perfect and hot. When we are back in Napier, we will visit again!
