Raffles St Café reviews
45Very nice coffee shop, I can recommend it. The only thing that one must be aware of: they do not accept international credit cards! Only cash or a domestic debit card from NZ will work.
0/5
Rude staff. Their previous comment about no cockroach is false - it was under the cushion on the dirty seats. I apologised for the miscommunication, but their staff were rude and inconsiderate as to customer dietary needs. I truly wouldn't recommend for anyone who is gluten free - despite their claims they know what they're doing, they wouldn't even use gluten-free tongs. If you're coeliac, avoid!
I am vegetarian and had the creamy mushrooms without bacon. The food was okay but wasn't fair to get just a egg. Other cafes give you always two eggs. Probably, this dish is not worth it for the price and having it without bacon
Nice cafe and with food of GF, DF and Veg options. Lot of choice of bakery and sweet slices and slice can have a taste sample, that I recommend for people who want to try all different slices at once.
Best cafe in Napier. Awesome menu. Great service. 10/10
The team are super friendly and food is always delicious.
Absolutely amazing cafe! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The coffee is always delicious, as is the food. They are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for being a place we can guarantee a good coffee with a smile!
0/10. Staff are incredibly rude.stating food is gluten free, then getting in an argument when I ask if it's 100% celiac friendly and you cannot give me a clear answer. Throwing hands up in the air and sending other staff to the table to continue to talk about the situation when they were not involved.not to mention the cockroach on the chair.
You guys aren't even cockroach free, how can you claim to be gluten free.
Not locals and stumbled across this cafe, lovely service and we both rated out breakfasts 10/10. Great coffee and all the cabinet food looked so good. Looking forward to our next visit already
Lovely breakfast here with my mum, auntie and 4 month old. Managed to get a little seat near the bathroom which were quite secluded for when I needed to breastfeed which was lovely ️ will definitely be coming here again
Same owner as Dalton kitchen, so their menu and food are same or very similar. Good food and services as usual.
Over-rated. Over-priced.
Creamy mushrooms were bland and tasteless and covered in a sweet balsamic reduction which is strange combo, made the whole dish with bacon etc sweet.
Plum cheesecake lacked in cream cheese, seemed more like a light mousse with gelatinised topping.
Salad was good at least.
An absolutely delightful experience. My friend & I had the Brioche French Toast with Bacon, Berry Compoté, Ice Cream (it's normally deep fried but we had it as is) & a side of salted caramel sauce. At $24.50 I thought it was slightly on the small size until I started eating it. It was so filling! It was worth every penny & prob the best French toast I've had in a long time! We both also had an iced coffee which was lovely but it had no ice so it wasn't as cold as we would've liked it? Overall a very cool place to eat with fab food. Would recommend this place for sure!
Fantastic brunch! Awesome little place, super friendly and efficient staff. The go to cafe for us when visiting Napier ️
Just wanted to say how lovely Raffles Street Cafe is! The staff are super helpful and friendly, coffee is outstanding and the food is devine.
Amazing food! Great friendly service! Easily my favourite cafe in the bay now after visiting this morning for brunch!
I recently changed to a gluten free diet and have found food options limited generally.
At cafes I try not to get my hopes up, as often the food reads well on the menu but flour/bread replacements are like cardboard. Not so the corn waffles here. I was pleasantly surprised and would go back for more in a heartbeat. Delicious food, lovely setting and good service.
Wonderful place to go for a meal. Friendly, clean and the staff can not do enough for you. Food, very delicious I would certainly recommend anyone to go eat there.
Never been here before. What a hidden Gem. The food and service was outstanding. We took my elderly Mum and Dad and they loved it. This will be our go to now
Lovely cafe with some great food options and good coffee. Sweetcorn waffle eggs bene with mushrooms and spinach was lovely, and so filling.
. Slices on the small side and cost to much.scramble eggs were horrible.
I won't be going back
