The food was amazing, service was superb, Cocktails were mouthwatering, overall experience 11/10, can’t wait to come back! Will definitely be recommending to anyone I know who visits Whanganui!?

Nice decor and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and cheerful. Unfortunately, despite making a booking we have waited an hour and a half and still no entrée served. God only knows how long the mains will be.
Rather disappointing. I chose Franks based on recommendations and have brought a group of 14 here. None of them plan to return which is sad.

Really enjoyable evening in great company. Food and drinks fabulous. Personable staff. Great service.

Nice atmosphere. But long wait gor our meals. Then when we got our meals the food was at a below average standard. Cold curly fries. Over cooked egg and meat patties for the burgers. Fish was over cooked buns were burnt. My wife ordered a cheese burger that came with no cheese. Friend ordered a burger with no pickles, but came out with pickles. A bit of care and pride, could easily fix these issues.

We went for a birthday dessert celebration as a small group. Had the dark chocolate wontons, was the most delicious dessert I've had in ages.

Someone previously mentioned that the margaritas were weak, I can confirm that. I have had a lot of margaritas in my time but these.you could give to your grandkids. They should at least offer normal strength ones.

Visiting from Wellington and didnt know what to expect food and drink wise in whanganui. All I can say is: great food, nice decor, fantastic cocktail list. The menu is great but there are limited options for vegetarians and alternative diets. Overall recommend this place highly and I think it would excel on anyones list.

Frank’s has a great atmosphere and modern fit out. The menu is reasonably nice and the staff are friendly. However, the cocktails are really below average. Tried a margarita and could not taste any tequila in it at all, then tried a gin sour which again, had barely any alcohol in it and a very eggy flavour. Been back once or twice and had the same experience each time. Definitely wouldn’t recommend Frank’s if you’re looking for a good quality cocktail.

Wow I really loved this place. Great atmosphere and STELLAR service. Coming from Sydney I wasn't sure what the cocktails would be like, but they were some of the best I've ever had. AND they even gave us a sampler Miami Vice for free. Yum

Large premises, nice appearance, food was quite good.
The volume of noise was very off-putting.

The staff the food and the cocktails here are just amazing. Staff are so friendly and so quick to help and always on hand when you need them. The cocktails are just out of this world. Actual mixology with some molecular gastronomy. It's ART but you drink it. Just blew out minds. Definitely a must do if you want a real cocktail expert experience. Thanks so much everyone

Don't know what it's like later in the evening, but it's a good place for a couple of after-work drinks. Great range of wines and beers, including some very niced locally brewed ones

Was really fantastic staff, good drinks and delicious food. Seating seemed a little snug but otherwise quite good.

Needs more kitchen staff, took two hours to get served a bar meal, however the front of house staff were amazing and did their best to keep the crew happy.

Went to Franks last Saturday night. Great vibe and excellent service. I wish I could give 6 stars as the meal was exceptional. All four of us loved our meals. My steak was as good as any I've had. Thank you. We will be back.

Went in with a few people, one particular staff member was extremely rude. The meal was small and not worth the price but it did have flavour hence the 2nd star. Waited over an hour as well. Things need to improve

Exceptional service by all of the staff and lovely decor. Our first family dinner at Frank was great! Pork Bao buns were A Mazing! Will be back for work dinners and family meals for sure.

Only called in for a nightcap but impressed with the decor and service, next time will be for a meal.
