What a neat place to dine! Great staff, ladies, you deserve a pat on the back! My grandma absolutely loves this place and I can see why! The meals were divine. The steak perfect, scallops devine and the blt sandwich was to die for!

We enjoyed a fabulous family meal here midweek. I spoke to Sophie a couple of times to confirm a highchair and wheelchair/disability access - she arranged a great table that accommodated the whole family and even had an activity pack to keep the toddler amused! The food was top notch - we enjoyed perfect steaks and scrumptious seafood. Great service and everyone left very satisfied - Gran is still talking about what a lovely evening she had.

Absolutely love this place. Good quality food with a beautiful view. Perfect for date night or a night out with the family!

Food was nice.service not so much. Two young waitresses were moving tables and banging about (really loud) which really reduced the ambience. Severe lack of professionalism for prices charged. Need proper wait staff who know what customer service should be about. Disappointing.

Very few restaurants open on this day, quite busy, excellent waterfront, young attentive staff, 80% of the customers were over 50, food delivery time was too long, room was about the right temperature given a very hot, the drinks were good, I am a celiac so the food had to be gluten-free, all and all I recommend.

Rude service, hair in drink, had outside table but were not informed it was a smoking area (waitress didn't inform us and no signs!) had to sit next to smoker while trying to eat.
Also they didn't check covid vaccines!
Very disappointed and would NOT RECOMMEND!

On behalf: Had the chicken ceaser salad - was tiny, watery and poached egg was cold. Colleagues were also not impressed with food. Unseasoned, cold food and soggy garlic bread.

Don’t be fooled by the inauspicious approach through the industrial area, or the rather mundane looking outside, this place has a gorgeous patio area at the rear overlooking all the yachts and the mountains, and big landscape windows if you prefer to sit inside. And the food goes with the view: fresh, pleasing, and well priced. Great selection of beers on tap. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is you do have to work quite hard to catch the eye of the table staff. Highly recommended

Disappointed with service, went for a birthday and asked for glasses of Champaign had to pour our own drinks. Food was definitely not up to standard specially for the high prices.

We have been to this restaurant a few times over the last few years. Compared to the first time we went, it has taken a bit of a dive. The service was fast and pleasant. The table was sticky as.even after waitress wiped it. The Salt & Pepper Squid, originally was to die for and reasonably priced.now you get a mouthful for $19, and it has not got any taste to it. Mains Ordered: 2 Ultimate Surf and Turfs (med), one came out well-done (maybe due to it being thin). The Fisherman's Choice, battered fish very oily. The Pork Belly, looked big due to the huge amount of mashed potato. The meals in general looked great, other then the oiliness of the batter on the fish. There was no real great taste to the meals; the sauces did not stand out; and the salads (which I am all for!), were covered in something but not sure what - as no taste. A huge disappointment.

Very disappointed. Had t-bone steak and like it medium and came with fries and salad. Looks like they just cut it off the animal and plonked it on plate. Only managed to eat not quite half of it, questioned manager who was obviously having a bad night as very argumentative. Saying because I ate the chips (which would've cost about $4) I wasn't getting a discount or free meal. Firstly wasn't after a free meal and secondly as I said to her "they were the only thing that was cooked". She took it away, came back with a lame excuse and offered a $5 discount which I took and needless to say won't go back.

Nice and clean place to come for a coffee. Great view of the marina and of the slip way for little boats. Great Coffee aswell. Next time gonna try some food

When we ordered our meal we were then advised that scallops were unavailable. There was a notice on the wall behind us which we did not see. The seafood chowder was mussels, carrots and little else. As we went up to pay both female staff members were sitting on the counter. We were very disappointed by the whole experience, and will not return. We are locals.

We had lunch here recently and had a chilli cheese bread for starters. Had to use our cutlery and when table was cleared before the main, we were told that there was a cutlery shortage and had to retain the dirty knife and fork for our main course. Funny that all other tables were set for diners with cutlery and none being used. Helped ourselves to clean knife and fork from another table.possibly the waitress was on dishes as well that day!

Wow I hadn't visit this Restaurant for a long time and I am so impressed with the quality of the food and the premises. The staff were helpful and we had a great night. Thanks.

Why are your portions not consistance. Twice now I have ordered the breakfast along with my partner and each time he actually got a way bigger portion of toast. Today I would not have even got the equivalent of a slice of bread. Come guys up your game.

Friendly and helpful waiting staff. Steak was cooked to perfection and lovely fresh side salad. One small thing, sorry guys, didn't particularly like the prawn sauce all over the steak, would have preferred on the side, otherwise delicious meal.

Nice table over looking the marina and delicious bluff oysters. Service is very caring and adapts to your needs. Rare but very appreciated. Thank you

We have been to the Bar & Grill many times and as usual the food was very nice. What was sorely lacking was quality service.a common theme in many of the reviews. The staff seemed almost frenetic at times racing from the bar to the kitchen and back. Our main meals arrived, one of which was incorrect and our entree had been overlooked. The incorrect meal was put right and was of excellent quality, but there was a long wait as we were then slotted in between other orders already on the go. We had to ask for water and also noticed others having to ask even for basic cutlery items. Our friendly waitress seemed put out when we commented, after she enquired as to how the meal experience went. Shame as it’s got such potential but as a meal out experience it is rough around the edges. As the waitress, said at the end “Must be one of those nights”. And sadly for us out for a special occasion, it was!

One of our favourite restaurants, tucked away down in the Nelson port area, overlooking the marina, which never fails to please us, tried their "all day breakfast" today & gotta say, one of the best we've shared, a huge meal with the usual items as well as a tasty BBQ style steak, was delicious & value for money, will return
