Table service nil had to go and ask for cutlery after our meal was served, some of wait staff doing their best but dropping part of my meal on the table and putting it back on my plate in front of me was rather off putting especially when observed constantly touching hair face and clothes while waiting for our food. Young staff are good but training makes them great

Can't fault this restaurant. Excellent menu and wine list. Fresh, well cooked and presented meals and a great atmosphere too.

Had lunch there today and was absolutely disgusted by the amount of flies flying around and landing on the tables and cutlery, I asked the waitresses if they could flyspray area and was told that they didn't have any. Shortly after i spoke to a man that was serving about this and he said they don't like spraying when people are eating but we were the only ones there, He said it should improve in a couple of weeks when it gets cooler! WHAT.
I have eaten in many restaurants here and abroad and have never encountered this. I used to love this place but now very disappointed in there attitude. The meal was nice when you could get it your mouth without chasing the flies away. I counted over 30 at one stage

Service was adequate but certainly didn't enquire what we thought of our food. Probably a good thing as food was very disappointing. Definitely don't go here for the seafood. Fish wasn't fresh, whitetail fritters were tasteless and the scallops tasted like a pub meal. Would definitely not recommend.

This is pretty easy.
Great food.
Great wine.
Great beer.
Fabulous service.
Enough said, thoroughly recommend this establishment.
Oh, prices also very reasonable.

Busy night when we dinned there. We felt a little forgotten. However the manager personally served us and was very professional and pleasant. Food was delicious and portion size fair for price. Very good overall.

Sorry Anchor Bar, was pretty disappointed on Saturday night when we were there for our anniversary. I requested a seat outside, we didn't get it (our reservation was for 5pm, nice and early to avoid peak time), specials were not read out to us, food was average and I felt like we were rushed the whole time we were there.

Lovely, straightforward meals. Good portion sizes. Staff were helpful and obliging for our gluten free guest. Nice view of the marina.with interesting nautical theme interior. We've been before and will go again.

The food is good here. The seafood platter was plentiful (easily feed 3) albeit slightly on the overly deep fried side for my liking - I would have liked to see some variation in preparation style such as grilled/steamed/cooked in sauce.

Food was great and well worth the price, sadly the service was poor, would have had dessert and more drinks had someone come to our table to take our orders.

Had a nice evening. Staff are friendly, good vibe. Food was good. Good size meals. I would go back. Food was a little slow coming, but it was busy. It Pays to book. Not over priced

Cleanliness not the best outside and t bone steak was good and salmon was cooked well but a rather small portion.beer was cold.not bad experience just would not go out of my way to eat here again

Looked shocked we arrived. No welcome and looked slammed, despite not full. Yet. Luckily our mains were in before the 20 odd people that just walked in basically have the kitchen a heart attack I'm sure. Wait staff were also bar staff, so mixing 2 G&T's for table 4 meant table five had to wait even longer.
Raised an eyebrow to a staff member for a refill, but was forgotten.
Cannot fault the staff. Friendly and professional, but struggling with the customer population. Maybe a few more staff would help. Good view of the marina (over the parked cars).

Meal was okay but over priced as not much effort seemed to have gone into the meal. Hapuka was dry and tasted like it had been frozen and defrosted quickly. Salad was rotten and hardly got an apology. They did not seem to know what had been paid for, but we paid for drinks up front!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Not a long wait for food and really sizable portions! Definitely value for money here. Go try it out

This is one of the nicest places in Nelson to have a meal or an alcoholic bevvie or a coffee.you can sit right on the marina and enjoy the peace. I always go back here when visiting the area.

Superb. Food is magic, service top shelf, great kids menu and the value for money is remarkable. I moved to Nelson just before lockdown and this was a brilliant choice for my first evening out on the area. Will bring visitors to Nelson here for sure.

Nice location and view but the food was "pub food" at best.mostly deep fried, etc. Staff were friendly but lacked finesse and some basic waiting skills.
