Quail Cafe reviews
57We were recommended by a health practioner who was right on the button. All 3 of us had seafood chowder which was delicious. Absolutely go & eat here the food is very good, wholesome and local. Hard to go past really so dont miss a great food plus good staff experience.
Had heard this was the place to go, can only assume there's been a change of ownership since. Very disappointed. Poor selection of menu items, most items were for breakfast/brunch. The item I wanted wasn't available so got recommended a Croque Monsieur which turns out to be a fancy french name for a very disappointing toasted sandwich. If there was cheese I couldn't see or taste it, it was just very soggy bread with white sauce with some ham in it. No seasoning that I could taste. Our drinks arrived well after we had finished our meals. Drinks were good though but I have never been to a cafe or restaurant where your drinks come out just as you're ready to leave. Also our tea cup had lipstick on it, when asked if we could have a clean cup the waitress seemed annoyed with us and it looked as if she checked my wife to see if she was wearing lipstick. Anyway, hope it improves as I can't see us going back.
Awesome ladies, huge variety of unique cabinet savouries and sweets. Soup of the day (broccoli&pea) was fantastic
Went in for what we had heard was good food, unfortunately for us our experience was average. 50% of our meals bacon was well done to the point of burnt, tomatoes with the vine still attached. My friends iced coffee was served with instructions to mix it because the surup had gone to the bottom of the glass. Not the type of service you'd I'd expect from anywhere really. My coffee was good and the view of the gardens were the Quails only saving grace today. We may return.
Delicious food and coffee, nice little quirks like flowers instead of table numbers and porcelain tea cup and saucers. Long wait, but worth it.
Lovely place. Food was fabulous. Went for stroll through the quarry gardens where there.would recommend
Very very nice food and spectacular surroundings, lovely feeling about the whole cafe and gardens, highly reccomend.
Had breakfast here scrambled eggs and bacon very nice finished off with a piece of toast and jam. I thought the food and service was good. The coffee was a bit bitter but well made I think it is just the choice of beans. The cakes look really good and would be a good choice for morning tea. We are off for a walk in the quarry which is always a good way to get rid of any excess at breakfast
This is a beautiful cafe to visit situated in the lovely Quarrie gardens, great food and coffee in a lovely setting
I will definitely recommend this cafe to my friends and family as I can't fault it in any way. The setting is wonderful, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the tableware is delightful.
Such an idyllic spot! Corn fritters were delicious and came presented beautifully, coffee was yum - but not very hot!
Beautiful spot & Delicious food. Easy to find off the main highway - a great pit stop for travellers!
I love Quail Cafe! It's such a magical spot and nice to be central, but not right in town. The food is always great and the coffee is excellent. Plus I love the quarry gardens so it's nice to be able to go for a walk with my boys before a yummy treat
Relaxing atmosphere in a garden setting. The almond croissants are so good. Coffee is great here and the staff are friendly.
Decent food, stunning location, very well set up from my one breakfast there. Unfortunate music choice of 'stacys mum'/'black eyed peas' but that's an easy change for next time
Best mushrooms in town! Friendly staff and the coffee is always great. Lovely garden setting too:)
