Bombay Palace Indian Restaurant & Takeaway reviews
67Absolutely beautiful meal. Flavors outstanding. I had the Chicken Afgani mild.just perfect. Staff welcoming and surroundings were great. Highly recommend
The food was lovely, and the service delightful. You can choose how hot you want the food, which is different from when we are in the UK. This is a great idea. I would highly recommend.
Had the most lovely evening. Thoroughly recommend Samosas, chicken Tikka, We had a tasty biryani. Will definitely be back to try more.
Great atmosphere, superb ambience, delicious food, friendly staffs, prompt service,
Undoubtedly Bombay Palace is the best Indian in invercargill
Had heard great things about this place from family while we are down south but unfortunately I do not agree. Ordered a extra mild butter chicken with garlic Naan rice combo. The butter chicken was a lot more spicy than usual and was quite a thick paste rather than a good creamy texture (I cannot eat spice due to not having a galbladder, so i do appreciate this allergy taken seriously) the garlic Naan just really had a few bits of garlic sprinkled over it without that garlic buttery goodness. Other than that the service was very friendly, maybe just caught a bad night as the family members agreed it wasn't their usual up to standard.
Cheers Bombay palace
Love this place. Great food (try the butter chicken; medium spicy & garlic naan), easy and prompt online ordering system. It’s always such a pleasure to walk in and see all the smiling faces in the kitchen and behind the takeaways counter. Such a lovely staff.
Fantastic food as always, as what used to be our local. Best naan in town and consistently great curry, but unfortunately, more often than not food is late, today by nearly half an hour, other times up to an hour for delivery. Hard to justify when trying for a quick meal on a work night
The food here is great! Slightly pricey but staff is friendly and happy to customize spice levels to your liking. The decor of the restaurant is good too.
My go to spot for Indian in Invercargill. Service is excellent - food is good - try Indian Hot for a proper spicy meal. Only gripe is the naan's, taste of flour sometimes.
We have been going to Bombay place for years and have always had awesome food couldn't fault a thing but have been very disappointed the last few times we have came
The curries used to be very consistent with the flavour now they seem to lack a lot of it. My butter chicken tonight didn't even taste like the old one it was tasteless.has there been a menu change for your classic curries because they used to be so much better!
Worst curry ever had in my life
Not worth it
They put tomato ketchup in the curry, it was disgusting
Highly not recommended
Best Indian restaurant in town. Fresh garlic in naan, amazing curries, and everyone always looks like they’re having a lovely day!:)
Wow food was very delicious than the previous year.
They definitely improved their cooking.
We enjoyed the food. The kadhai paneer reminded me of Bombay… I loved it.
The family enjoyed Lamb Pasanda.
The waiting staff were lovely… a young lady with a high pony.
The serving sizes are generous, well priced. We won’t be interested in going back to invercargill… but the food left a mark on me.
I had been there couple of times with my family.we had ordered veg platter which was fabulous.veg kadhai paneer was really good too but veg navratana korma wasn't that great.it was very sweet n not so rich which it should be. Service is great and ambience too. Overall good
I usually love Bombay Palace and have always had good experiences here until tonight. The cheese naan that I ordered had bread that was doughy and undercooked, and the cheese tasted sour and off and made me feel sick. The butter chicken was good as usual but was ruined by the naan.
Good for dine in and take away with good food but doesnot seems like that good with the party for hire as it doesnot seem proper planning and lack of service for all.
Delicious Tasy Food. My weekly Fav! Fast & Friendly service with a cosy restaurant or Efficient take away or Delivery.
Sublime.best curry on the planet. Sorry Mumbai.try the chilli cheese garlic naan with hot Tikka Masala for an outer body experience. Step aside Pfizer.this would have to be the best covid vaccine out.no self respecting virus would go near this garlic loaded deliciousness.
I went to bombay palace to dine in with my family and food was amazing! I had a great experience, thanks to the bombay palace team!
