Bombay Palace Indian Restaurant & Takeaway

Absolutely disgusted. We found 4 short black hairs in just one butter chicken curry.
Plus, small peaces of bone.
Apart from this experience, the portions are incredibly small for the price and the flavour was incomparable to what I am used to. Tasted like someone's first try at making a curry at home.
I do not recommend!

My partner and I love a good curry, rice and naan bread and this place deserves much more praise for the taste of their food.

Good staff service but would appreciate being acknowledged when I would speak and not just my partner. Seeing as it was my suggestion to go here for dinner.

Really great food, and service - we order online, it's so quick and easy, and the staff are always so welcoming when you go to collect. Our order qas ready on time, and nice and hot

Food took forever to get to the table. Pieces of chicken in our entree was still pink. Told the waitress and she just said she'll let the chef know. Butter lamb was disgusting. Wouldn't be going back there.

Best curry in Invercargill, amazing selection, massive portions and delicious flavours all for a reasonable price.

So disappointed, ordered takeout to be delivered 6.45, meal arrive 8.30 pm. Rang four times for an update assured 1.meal was on the was, 2. Meal is on its way 3.delivered to wrong address 4.order was not received.

After dealing with Bombay Palace in Invercargill for years, I often recommended to family and friends, that this was the go to spot in Invercargill for Indian food. Unfortunately, I now must redact this positive review after a very unpleasant experience with the manager.

Best Indian in town from my opinion! Vege samosa are so good! Chickpea curry is to die for, not watery at all, thick and taste perfect heaps of flavor! Nothing to complain about always a good dinner. You won’t be dissapointed!

I love ordering from Bombay Palace. Always yum food, fantastic/friendly service, and rapid delivery. Whilst lots of the curries are delicious, one of my faves is the vegetarian starter platter! Thank you. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely dining experience at Bombay palace tonight! Didn't have to wait long and had awesome service, a really nice atmosphere too.

A good Indian experience but curries lack the heat I was expecting. Gulab Jamun was a great finish off to the meal. A really good way to serve Gulab Jamun is with vanilla ice-cream, the are great together and worth trying on your menu.

Oh my gawsh! If you are looking for somewhere to order tonight, this is it! I just received a delivery. It arrived in a very respectable time, with cheery customer service, and the food is divine. Very good size portions as well. I was so shocked at the deliciousness that I cannot even remember what I ordered. Dish number 1= Divine. Dish number 2= Divine. Sides and sauces =Divine.

Wait staff didn't listen very well and didn't seem to like that we asked questions and were not meal checked wereas other tables were. We did not feel welcome dining in.

Really disappointed service was rubbish I asked for a medium curry and got a very bland mild asked for a replacement and got the wrong dish I felt they had very little pride in there food I won't go back

Really tasty curries. Comfortable seating with nice atmosphere and decor. Good service. Portions are generous. Definitely recommend.

Came here with very high expectations due to the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our mains took AN HOUR AND A HALF to come out, which was the result of us having to remind the waitress that we were still waiting on our order. Tables around us that had ordered after us had been served, eaten AND left the restaurant by the time we received our four curry dishes. The only silver lining was that the food was good.
