Lumsden Camping Ground reviews
28 Worst spot on my entire NZ-trip so far. The campground was nothing but a patch of grass and the "so-called-boss" there was a total douchebag. We asked about the showers there and he threw the largest fit ever and kicked us out from the camping.
Would never ever visit even if it was free. Use the freedomcamping in central lumsden instead
It's cheap. But for whole campsite only one half working cooker in kitchenis insufficient. Otherwise nice pleasant place. Could improve greatly by investing in 2 good cookers and refrigerators.
Small and quiet campsite. Have it but need it, shower, kitchen, washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition, it is cheap.
Fine. We stayed 3 nights. Quiet, close to shops etc. John was busy making adjustments to bits a nd pieces so we weren't out and about.
Spacious park with great new owner. The best camping spot that we found between Te Anau and Queenstown
Great place, clean and very tidy, and showers, toilets.
Has water, but to my knowledge, no dump station.
There is plenty of room large vechiles.
Powered sites.
Lovely custodians.
Typical camping of old, hard for these guys to complete with the big guys unless you support them
Very cheap place to camp. Plenty of space for our large camper van. We arrived at 1.45pm New Zealand time and left the following morning to continue our journey around the beautiful South of New Zealand.
This is a very good independent camp ground. Much better than any DOC camp site we've seen.
It's $10 per person no matter if you have a tent, camper or large mobile home. The owner is onsite and if he isnt there someone is available if needed.
There is a kitchen available to use with many plug sockets to charge devices. Also toilets and showers available. There is a laundry room but this was locked during our visit.
In addition there are a few potable water taps to refill any containers also an outdoor basic brick bbq too.
Really good site that I highly recommend, rather this with more facilities than a DOC site with less amenities for more money.
Simple, quite old, but clean and cheap
Hot shower and they have alpacas close to the camping area
Well, we are the only ones here. Yes, facilities are a little out dated. But for the price you can't complain. $15 per adult $5 per child plus $5 for electricity. Also we had a last minute change of plans.
Very beautiful and quiet spot. Facilities clean but a bit outdated. Friendly owner. Really recommendable.
Nice tidy camp ground, good facilities, and cheap too. So far best camp ground I’ve stayed at in South Island.
Relaxed vibe, lots of space, good clean facilities. Owner very friendly and helpful. Good value and handy for those rocking up late as you can pay camp fees over internet banking. Also llamas in adjacent field!
Awesome camp ground! Great facilities and friendly service, affordable prices and definitely will be back
A very neat and tidy camping ground.
It was a pleasure to stay and Friendly owners. Camping the way it should be. Will definitely go back. Cheers
Excellent, great value for money ($12 for one person per night) and well presented & clean premises. Note: showers now only available to campers. Not luxurious but meets all the basic needs. No additional charge for showers.
This.is a great place to camp. Very friendly and helpful owners. Plenty of hot water for showers.
Very nice camp ground with kitchen and hot shower. It costs $12 per person per night. Great value.
