Table Talk Cafe

We ate here yesterday and I had a savory and on eating found a large piece of plastic in my food I started choking then having a coughing fit. I pulled out the plastic gave to the lady. She was shocked and apologized and said she would talk to the boss. I was in quite abit of pain and could feel another piece of plastic was lodged in my throat so very uncomfortable. No one had asked for my details so I wrote them on a piece of paper and gave to lady. I would of thought that I would of been contacted to see how I am but nothing so very disappointed.

The food was very good, particularly the date scone! It's a shame when places charge extra for soy, and extra for decaf, when they actually are no more expensive to buy. The coffee was too hot, and not a true cappuccino: (
However, the reason for my review is that there were 7 tables needing to be cleared, whilst we were there. One couple had to clear a table beside they could sit there.
We would still go back for the scone:)

A large crowd of us arrived en masse off a bus. The staff handled the influx very well with very short waiting time. Plenty of sitting down space for all. Great assortment of food. Excellent!

Friendly service, nice selection of sweet and savory items. Great coffee. Artwork for sale very interesting and well displayed.

Went there for Breakfast got the Kiwi Breakfast, The ordering process seemed an inconvenience for the waitress, didn't ask how I wanted the eggs. The service was very quick, friendly (different server to the one that took my order) only a couple of minutes and breakfast was served. The food was pretty good but Sausage was like warm. OJ and Coffee was spot on. Also a large busy Menu.

Really lovely food and nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and good coffee. Will go there now each time I pass through Gore.

Lovely home made food. Can select from self serve shelves or order off menu. Great coffee. Free wifi. Can sit inside or out.

We are a group of 5, we ordered a variety of food including fish and chips, burger, butter chicken, and Egg quiche. We rate the food as 2. The servers are horrible, when serving the food, she kinda toss the dish on the table. That shouldn’t be called serving food. Her face looks like we are there to eat free food and she really doesn’t want to served food to us. While we are eating, she just throw a big floor mat on the floor in front of our table that cause the dust. If there is a negative number I’ll used it on the service. I included the picture where she threw the mat on the floor, you can see that the mat is so close to our table.

Has early morning breakfast, service was good, scrambled eggs and toast were simple although muffins were excellent. Staff needs to be it kind in the morning with customers as we were greeted with smile but we're not guided through a very large menu, toilets were clean and place has good ambience.

Staff very friendly. They have high chairs for kids. Food very good. Coffee good. Free help yourself water tap on counter.

Always travel to Gore to eat at table talk when i come back home to invercargill
