Hahei Beach Cafe reviews
56I got a response from owner telling me to be kind. I was. I didnt abuse ur staff. I expected good friendly service and good food.and i didnt get that. WHY? Whats hard about that. What does it cost ur staff to di their jobs better than what they are. Reviews are a feedback, take that on board. I have never and will never review anyone unfairly. I only state what my experience has been, so the time u have wasted on coming at me, go talk to ur staff to treat the ppl that do make the time to cone into ur business, so well that not only do they review well but come back. You knw i wont because u just showed me how much value u put on customer satisfaction. None apparently. The only recourse customers have is to review u, honestly. I did that. U want better reviews.provide better service.
Glad to see the lockdown hasn't affected Hahei seeing it's cafe can afford to turn away customers to its half empty cafe. Arrived 12: 10 on a Sunday for breakfast. "Sorry kitchen closes at 12. Cabinet food only. " Fair enough, I'll just go somewhere else - forever!
A bad place, overpriced andovercrowded. And above all with staff with a *** attitude that look bothered to have customers and give a very bad service. Just don't go.
Arrived just before they closed for the day (20 mins early). Chicken pie was ok, but the iced coffee wasn't nice, just a very milky coffee with a few ice cubes. Better places around.
They denied me from eating a piece of food I had despite the fact that most of the food and the beverages I got where in the shop. I don't like this kind of not very humane attention to public. Too expensive for what they offer.
The Staff unhelpful the quy who served us just didn't want to be there his comment to another person was I'm over it cant wait to get out. Said it all Really asked him if the pot in the display cabinet was a chia pudding he said yes when we got it and tasted it was Oats couldnt eat it tasted yuck.
Never go back.
If you like frozen preprepared meals this place is perfect for you.
I ordered Benedict for 20$ and got frozen Hash product with Hollandaise sauce from Countdown- how amazing experience.
The taste combination of the whole meal did not work for me. It was very sour.
What I liked was a view from the outside sitting area and pastry, coffee wasn't bad.
I believe that the reason why this restaurant is so succesful is it's in a popular area with a little other restaurants around.
I were new to the place. Cafe and staff was really good. I have ordered HBC thinking about OMG. I was super hungry. In our Wellington most of the cafes OMG is less than $23. I paid $24 for HBC when it presented on the table I was disappointed beacuse everything was half of quantity. 1egg, 1sausage, 2 breads, half tomato, 2 or 3 mushrooms, 1 pieces of Kumara and potato. As a customer I do not want to pay $24 for the small plate of food.
There's fresh atmosphere and the staff are friendly and the food looks delicious. But when you pay $6 for a triple shot coffee and it tastes like watery milk then we have a problem.
Was a noce spot to sit and enjoy a bite to eat.
Great selection of cabinet food and good service.
Would definitely go again. Thanks team.
Sorry no pics. I ate with friends so got caught up in the moment
I don’t believe the reviews. I didn’t get friendly service. I didn’t get great food. I did get good coffee. Guy at counter not great. Saddened me to the point that the power went out! Coincidence? I think not.
I do think the food & prices are awesome.was a little disappointed in the crab cake.it was delicious but I am not sure there was any crab in it.it was mostly potatoes & spinach & crunchy onion which would have been nicer if it was precooked.staff are very friendly but at times a little egotistical & somewhat immature. I will be back but just won't have the crab cake.
Food, timely delivery, service and owners were amazing. Had a lovely time out in the open air. Shame about the tall obnoxious arrogant hipster dude who was rude to me and my wife separately. Didn't think they existed outside of Ponsonby. Cheer up mate, I'll buy you a synth.
Stopped for brunch. Good coffee, pleasant staff, and appealing food options. Husband had waffles, which looked and tasted great. I had a muffin from the cabinet, moist and plenty of flavor. Pet friendly too. Hope to visit again soon.
The good: it's open off-season, the menu is diverse, the staff is friendly, the food is prepared quickly, and eggs Benedict is amazing.
The not so good: very very pricey, the tables are strangely sticky, and summer nachos are god-awful.
A Lovely place for brunch. We had some delicious cabinet food: Stuffed Eggplant, Pork and Fennel Sausage Roll, Bacon and Egg Pie and a croissant. But salad tasted dry.
The food was yumm. The one star is because of the customer service. The guy was like on the worst possible behaviour. Except for that it was a good experience
Plenty of choice and busy in off season in the weekend. Coffee 4 stars. B&E Pie 4 stars (cold inside) Toasted Walnut cake 5+
Have to say, wasn't expecting such lovely place till wife took us here.
Maybe the only cafe around here? Simple menu with the basic selections but so tasty! Well done to the chefs. Nice selections in the cabinet, that Pie! So good
Superem coffee literally is the winning point, had two Lattes this morning lol.
Sitting in the back yard and watching my kid running around in the playground is peaceful lol, nice n safe. Keep in mind, lots of birds around too, keep eyes on your food! Lol
Only one star down is the service, could be more approachable? Your friendliness costs nothing boys lol
Lovely staff. Great selection and tastes wonderful. Had apple pie and a flat white before hitting the beach
