Hahei Beach Cafe reviews
56 If you like frozen preprepared meals this place is perfect for you.
I ordered Benedict for 20$ and got frozen Hash product with Hollandaise sauce from Countdown- how amazing experience.
The taste combination of the whole meal did not work for me. It was very sour.
What I liked was a view from the outside sitting area and pastry, coffee wasn't bad.
I believe that the reason why this restaurant is so succesful is it's in a popular area with a little other restaurants around.
Great food and kind staff. Some staff were new and friendly. We got both waffles - with fruit and other with bacon and caramelised banana, so good! Waffles were light and fluffy, would go back for more!
Glad to see the lockdown hasn't affected Hahei seeing it's cafe can afford to turn away customers to its half empty cafe. Arrived 12: 10 on a Sunday for breakfast. "Sorry kitchen closes at 12. Cabinet food only. " Fair enough, I'll just go somewhere else - forever!
This place is excellent- I think its under new ownership since the last time I was here and it has improved immensely. Great selection of cakes and other baked goods as well as tasty and very well priced savory options too. Highly recommended!
Really nice place! We've been there couple times already and will definitely come back. The food is good and they have a variety of options. Loved my coffee here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.
This was quite a nice surprise in the small town of Hahei. Quite pricey and it was very busy but we received our food and hot drinks quite quickly.
A bad place, overpriced andovercrowded. And above all with staff with a *** attitude that look bothered to have customers and give a very bad service. Just don't go.
Food, timely delivery, service and owners were amazing. Had a lovely time out in the open air. Shame about the tall obnoxious arrogant hipster dude who was rude to me and my wife separately. Didn't think they existed outside of Ponsonby. Cheer up mate, I'll buy you a synth.
Even though they were SUPER busy (queue out the door) over the new year period they managed to pump out our coffees and food very fast with perfect presentation and taste. Must have a super awesome team on! Friendly staff.
Really good service. Surprising how much room there is, plus there's a kids park around the back. Reasonably priced considering its close to tourist spots. Would recommend going before 12 to enjoy the breakfast menu
Not so many other restaurant in the area so I was lucky to find this place. Good for a quick bite. I had the pastrami sandwich. Taste good.
Good quality for the price.
My pastrami on rye was very tasty, and the boys enjoy a croque monsieur and bacon and egg pie, but my wife found the feta muffin to be very salty.
I were new to the place. Cafe and staff was really good. I have ordered HBC thinking about OMG. I was super hungry. In our Wellington most of the cafes OMG is less than $23. I paid $24 for HBC when it presented on the table I was disappointed beacuse everything was half of quantity. 1egg, 1sausage, 2 breads, half tomato, 2 or 3 mushrooms, 1 pieces of Kumara and potato. As a customer I do not want to pay $24 for the small plate of food.
Nice little place. Very busy and popular but they manage to have timely service. Food was good. The vegetarian breakfast can be done as vegan and gluten free which is avocado, tomato and a paste on gluten free bread. But they also brought out a side of butter which was strange given we asked for vegan.
There's fresh atmosphere and the staff are friendly and the food looks delicious. But when you pay $6 for a triple shot coffee and it tastes like watery milk then we have a problem.
Thankyou Phebe M-H,
Your in depth reviews of SANDWICH and CABINET FOOD certainly attracted my attention. ALL of it.
Sorry.where was I? O yes, Justin sent me to post his review although I am the one writing.the REVIEW!
I have not had as much experience with REVIEWS and mint jelly as Phebe M-H so I hope I do not just "waffle" on.
. Now.where was I?
O yes, thats right, Justin loved his experience at Hahei Beach Cafe.
The coffee was tremendous and various food choices were of a very high standard which satisfied his many cravings.
Please NOTE.
