Orca Restaurant and Bar reviews
63 Excellent food, great service.
For the end point for a bike ride, it was absolutely perfect.
We had the seafood platter and it was easily enough for the three of us. Nice friendly, attentive service. We read the good reviews but still exceeded expectations.
The old Orca is back! A great dining experience today. It was fantastic to see new much more comfortable seats when we walked in. Excellent/prompt service and a new/amended menu with salt and pepper calamari back on the menu. It was melt in the mouth delicious, just like I've enjoyed over the past 20 years.
Amazing restaurant. Right on the water and a great place to watch the sunset. We had a delicious meal and the waitress Lucia was great, even gave us recommendations for what to do in Raglan.
Went here today. Don’t really want to bag the place as the fish dishes looked great.
Ordered a beef burger and a veggie burger. The beef burger had heaps more veg than the veg burger?
Veggie burger looked more like a Bali dog burger and definitely wasn’t worth $26. (probably should just take it off the menu) Also took 35-40 mins- not worth the wait…
In hindsight we should have ordered any of the fish dishes as they looked good.
Amazing food. I had a steak with roast vegetables which was cooked to perfection. Lovely atmosphere with stunning views of the water. Staff were friendly.
A nice place for lunch. With good food nice and friendly staff and good customer service. However like most places it seems there isn't enough staff to keep this place running throughout the day. So breakfast won't be served until after 1130. Otherwise a really nice place. Would recommend the southern fried chicken burger and any of the workshop beers on tap.
Food was good.but took nearly 1h.
For scrambled eggs and a toast.
When me and my friend checked out, waitress made mistake. I double checked with her. But still mistake and my friend had to pay a lot more than she needed to. The waitress didn't tell me about it and just made my friend pay for it? Why?
I get that it's holiday. But if you need to make customer wait quite long, should have told us about it. Maybe have less tables or a bit more workers.
We just went in for scones and coffees and had a lovely time. The date scones were delicious
Great food. Many yummy options. Always enjoy the atmosphere and delicious drinks. The view is stunning on the deck! Favorite in summer - especially the evenings during sunset.
I love Orca It has a high standard of service The food is delicious and well presented The view of the Whaingaroa (Raglan) harbour from the restaurant is breathtaking Go for a meal or a drink or just a coffee You'll feel welcome Highly recommend A must visit when you come to Raglan
Orca is located on the corner of Wallis street in Raglan. A hop skip and jump from the jetty and estuary. Beautiful sunset views in the evening and exceptional food and staff manner.
Moderate to expensive pricing but worth the treat for couples or small numbers. Wouldn't recommend breakfast with kids as options are limited however the lunch menu is beautiful and far more value for your dollar.
Friendly and very accommadating staff. Awesome meals, delivered with a smile, even tho they were short staffed.
I don't know if I was just hungry from climbing all day, but their beef burger was amazing, and the chips with aoli were good too. Friendly staff.
It took a bit for our Kai to arrive but the absolute deliciousness of all meals made up for it.
Really enjoyed our dinner at Orca so much that we came back the next night for the happy hour specials.
The $70 platter + sangria is well worth the money! Great spot to dine on the deck outside and watch the sunset.
We had an excellent meal to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The garlic bread was outstanding, my husband loved his steak and my vegetarian roast cauliflower was lovely. The staff are very pleasant and attentive; and they gave us a liqueur on the house as an anniversary treat.
The view out over the harbour is stunning- top place to eat in Raglan.
Perfect day for a drive to Raglan and of course lunch at Orca. Great corner location with views of the Jetty and harbour. Wonderful Fish and chips as always, lovely Tartare sauce on the side and those chips! Topped off with a glass of Prosseco, divine!
It was terrible this time, limited menu and short staffed due to covid-19, will go back because they are normally really good
You don't mind a long wait for your food if you get to have a few drinks in-between but a 40 min wait just to get your drinks served aswell was a joke, and to be told we couldn't buy from the bar had to stay seated but sent no waitress to check if we wanted anything, worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, food wasn't good either chef couldn't even cook a rear steak.wouldn't go back.
