Redoubt Bar & Eatery

Came in for a drink and some snacks. Had the fingerlings and curly fries. Good food, friendly service and Monteiths cider on tap was refreshing

Just wanting to have some light food when passing by this town, we found this bar that has nice atmosphere and decided to get the pork sliders and a glass of lemon tea. Staff was friendly and the service was amazing! Despite only ordering one dish to share, they helped us to divide the food without any instructions, though I was confused at first. The taste was fabulous and the lemon tea was tasty.
Would recommend anyone to enjoy their night here

Excellent service and lots of great beers on tap. The portions where not very big for some of the meals but the fries and onion rings were super yummy

Food was a disappointment. The description on the menu reads really good but the real thing is totally different and the price for the value is ridiculous. Most definately wont go back there again

Stopped for a cool beer which was great decided to have dinner what a disappointment fish and chips and the buddy powl not worth the money maybe get a new chef cheers Garry and Cheryl matamata.

Went here for a meal and some drinks with a group of friends. Service was fast and enthusiastic. Good variety of drinks and food was delicious for everybody. Only been here once but will definitely return if I am in the area again to try some more menu items.

Had a great experience eating here. All the staff were extremely friendly and always nearby to see if you needed anything. The food was excellent, dessert was excellent and the general atmosphere in the restaurant was really good. Would be happy to go back again and highly recommend.

Top class meals service is okey very loud environment I felt not appropriate for people with children.

I was so disappointed. I read so many reviews about this place as I thought id stop here for lunch when passing through Matamata. It was a let down the food was no good, the pizza was tasteless. The tables were dirty and so was the floors. The cutlery on the table was dirty also that we had to get the waitress to change it. The staff however were lovely.

Awesome food and service, staff were brilliant cant fault the place tell them it’s your birthday you’ll get sung happy birthday by the whole place - defo eat here again before I leave town

My partner and I stopped in for dinner on the way through and we were soo grateful for the service. They remembered our names, were no hassle when we ordered and changed a few things, just great food, service and atmosphere.it was busy too! We will actually come back from Tauranga just to experience this again. Thank you team.

Went for dinner and lunch on our visit in Matamata. Great service and food is divine. Sticky chicken and coconut rice is my favourite.

Matamata is always our favourite town to pass through on the way to Papamoa and this time it was your turn for us to support. What an interesting place to have lunch at. Great and warm atmosphere with top chef quality food.
