2 stars for the lovely service we received, 0 stars for the food and cleanliness.
Dusty, dirty tables, messy floors.
Soft chicken tacos, more like chewy microwaved for too long tacos. Sticky chicken, had dry coleslaw and dry coconut rice.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. We will definitely come back next time we are passing through Matamata. Thank you for the great service and Delicious food! We really enjoyed our experience!

If I need a vax pass and wear my mask correctly to eat here surely the staff can wear their masks correctly, and I’d suggest over the Xmas holidays when the restaurant is closed that they clean lights and ornaments etc above customers heads

We arrived for late lunch around 315 pm
Lovely young staff served us. Very friendly and awesome atmosphere. Music was great mood setter. Nice spontaneous visit. Will be back to try another dish. Sticky crispy chicken and the jelly tip cheesecake were awesome. As was the mozzarella and bacon bread starter. Yum!

Really delicious meals and entrée. 2 adults & 1 child. We got the specials board of deserts the cookie monster & chocolate brownie which sold out really quickly. Have been to both matamata & morrinsville bars and will definitely be back again. Was pretty busy when we came in on Friday night and all our meals & drinks were perfect. Keep up the good work team.

Awesome venue. Food great, service great. Why would you not go here! Very accessible in the main street. Room between tables for comfort. You need to go yourself!

Oh had the most delicious lunch try it The Turkish poke bowl. Went back the next evening for dinner and was not disappointed.

We found this cozy inviting place. Complete with a country live singe, super friendly staff and most importantly amazing food. Highly recommend the Matariki special!

Yummy food, decent prices great service and they give curly fries to be players if the day at local sport clubs. Also now very careful about covid;, sanitizing etc.

Steak ordered med-rare, served very rare. Special won tons average and not a match to the served apple sauce. Waitress embarrassed and attentive.

This bar in Matamata is a very cosy place inside. We only had drinks there but they have a good menu as we have tried their food at their Morrinsville branch. The staff are exceptionally friendly and ask your names and introduce themselves as you come in. The decor is fairly hobbity for Matamata so in line with the theme of the town. There is an outside area for warm days and a nice warm bar area for colder days. All up, worth a visit!

I recently had a meal at the Redoubt Bar and it turned out very well. The food is great and the attentive staff is great.highly recommended.

Wow absolutely exceptional service given to us by Dan. Delicious food cater for coeliacs and dairy free people pork belly was Devine and hubby had chicken breast wrapped in bacon delicious. Definitely the place to eat fully recommend and ask for Dan

The food was delicious. We got the salmon eggs Benedict.on special at $22 which i think was too expensive. Specials mean bulk purchasing product st a good price. Should be customer gets good price too. Win/win

Enjoyed very much. Service amazing and the Pork Belly Sliders would definitely go on my 'must have again' list. Definitely recommend.

We were here just for a meal out. Go hungry, they have big portion sizes. Their sticky chicky is delicious, along with their fried chicken.

Went today with work, service was poor and pizza was soggy will not be going back again, especially that being our first time trying the place.

Quick stop in for a light meal with my husband and dad. My dad asked for a toasted sandwich with bacon, tomato and cheese, I think they made it up.and it was amazing! Filled with bacon and focassia bread added a great flavour - 12ish, 08.07.17.
